If you are referring to the blue cable that has a black plug on the end; the one that connects the cleaner to its power supply, the connections are: white to 2, black to 3 and if present, red to the post marked with a ground symbol; three small lines. Post one is always empty. If that is not the end you need, please clarify which it is you need to reconnect.

1998 lincoln town car heat control not working steering wheel controls not working


strip out the heater control panel ,the knobs just pull off check that the control cable is attached to the heat selector if it is follow cable back to the heater box a check it is still connected to the flap control .two semi circular toothed components , the steering wheel controls may be a fuse so check fuse box under dash but if the heater cable has broken/pulled off this may just have dislodged the wiring connector to the wheel controls if both happened at same time let me know how you get on

No power to driver side window and power lock


most likely you have a short in wiring harness, best thing to do is remove drivers side kick panel that cover next to your left foot while driving you should see a group of 15 to 20 wires wraped together that goes to the drivers door. once you find this grab a test light attach to a good ground remove some of the tape so you can see the wires check to see which ones have power by poking tester into the wires, write down the color code for wires that light up, then pull the power control box and check those same color coded wire when you find the bad one you can run a new wire from where you first checked it to just before the control box you can either solder or crimps then tape it up then the rest of the harness that you opened up as well. Box in ceiling has black wire and white wire & the ceiling fan has white wire, black wire and red wire.


BEFORE YOU PERFORM ANY CONNECTIONS BE SURE THAT THE CORRECT CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE BOX HAS BEEN TURNED OFF! You must check for voltage between the white and black wires at the ceiling box with each of your two wall switches toggled up or down ONE AT A TIME!
The green wire in the ceiling box (or bare copper wire) is your ground wire and should be connected to the green wire of the fan, and also should be mechanically connected to the electrical box by a screw or clip. If your system was wired correctly you should find that it already is connected to the box.
The white wire in the ceiling box is your neutral wire, so any and all white wires from the fan should be connected to it. You may have one for the fan motor and one for the light kit if there are two separate whites from the fan. Again, they may already be connected together in the fan/light assembly.
The black wire in the ceiling box is switched on and off from either of the two switches in the room, which I assume are located near two different doors to the room. These are called "three-way switches". They are not marked "on" and "off" on the toggle like any single-light switches in your home. That is why you must check for power at the ceiling box with the switches in each position one at a time to make sure that the circuit is de-energized.
Now for the connections:
You will need to connect both the red and black wires from the fan to the black wire from the electrical box. The black wire in your ceiling box is your "hot" wire and will provide power to both the fan motor (black wire) and to the light through the red wire--(sometimes this wire is blue, for others who are following this post).
With this arrangement, your fan and light will only operate with one or the other of your three-way switches completing the circuit from your breaker box. You will have to use the pull chains on the fan to control the fan and lights. So you will probably want to leave the light "pulled on" so that you can control the room lighting from either of your three-way switches, and operate your fan speeds from the pull chain. However, if you want your fan only on at night you will have to "pull off" the fan's light switch.
You may find all this switch flipping and chain pulling an inconvenience. If so, hire an electrician to install wiring so that the ceiling box will be "hot" all the time to the fan's black wire and the fan will therefore be operated by the pull chain only, and the light kit will be controlled by either of the three way switches, via the fan's red (or blue) wire.
One other caveat before you begin: you must make sure that the ceiling box is rated for and mounted sturdily so that it will support the weight of the fan and light kit. Many ceiling boxes are designed and mounted to support only a light-weight fixture. You don't want your fan to come crashing down from the ceiling!

Wiring is not fully described: Location of hot wire and neutral wire from breaker box are unknown.
If Hot wire arrives in ceiling box first, the switch box will not have white neutral wires that are twisted together and covered with wire nut. Neutrals will be in ceiling box.

What is known: You are replacing single pole switch attached to one 14-2 wire going to light.
You are replacing light with a fan-light and replacing switch with a 3-pole TM8111 switch.
You have replaced 14-2 wire with 12-3 wire.

Assume neutrals in ceiling box.
Assume Hot wire in ceiling box: Connect 12-3 black wire to black Hot wire. Connect 12-3 white wire to black wire on light. Connect 12-3 red to red wire on fan.
White neutral from fan and white neutral form light connect to other white neutral wires and covered with wire nut.
Wiring at switch:
Black Hot wire from ceiling box connects to A COM terminal.
White wire to ceiling light connects to A SP2
Red wire to fan connects to A SP1

You have new wiring device.
Device controls fan and light.

To control fan and light separately from wall box, requires a separate wire to each Load.
So box requires one wire going to fan, and a separate wire going to light.
If previous switch has just two wires that controlled both fan and light, and then fan is controlled with pull-chain, it sounds like new device requires another wire be added to circuit.
Add a comment and say how many cables enter wall box, and say color of each wire in each cable.

Without knowing exact wires in your box, or exact device ... I can suggest answer based on typical wiring.
Compare this answer with instructions that came with device.

How to wire fan-light device:
-Device-green wire always connects to bare copper wire
-Device-black always connects to black Hot wire from breaker
-Device-red usually connects to wire going to light
-Device-yellow usually connects to wire going to fan

The white wire in your ceiling box is USUALLY the neutral wire. Green or bare wires are ground wires. Any other colored wires are generally hot, switched or unswitched. If changing the position of a wall switch makes a white wire hot, it is NOT a neutral wire. You need a test light, generally an inexpensive neon test light available at any hardware store, and a book on basic wiring would help. To control the fan and light separately, assuming you have not installed a wireless control, you need two switches, one for the fan and one for the light. If you do not have these, you need a wireless control unless you have a spare wire in the wall switch box or you need to be satisfied with controlling the separate functions with the pull chains. Check the ceiling box wires. Put one lead on the ground wire or, if you have steel boxes, on the box. Remove the wire nuts on the other wires, being careful not to touch any wires or touch any of the wires to each other or the side of a metal box. Touch the other lead to the other wires, one by one. If the light comes on, the wire is hot. Try the wall switch(es) on and off and see what changes. To make the fan or light work it has to be hooked up to a neutral wire (white, never hot regardless of any switch positions) and a hot wire. The same is true for the light kit. If you do not have or want two wall switches, one for the light and one for the fan, you need to identify the wire that is hot when you turn on the wall switch and hook it up to the black (fan) wire AND the blue (light)wire. You then control both with the single wall switch in conjunction with the pull chains. If you have two switches in the same wall box, and they make two different wires hot in the ceiling box, hook one to the black fan wire and one to the blue light wire. If you're set up with only one switch, and you're lucky, you may have an extra wire in the same cable from the ceiling box to the wall box, with a wire nut on each end. In that case, install a second switch for the light (or a combination switch designed to control both a fan and light). Hook the hot wire from the wall box to both switches (or the hot terminal on the combination switch) and the other two wires to the other two terminals that go to the ceiling box to feed the light and fan. Never use a light dimmer switch to control a fan or a fan speed switch to control a light. If two or more switches in different areas controlled the original fixture in the ceiling box, things can be complicated. If the same wall switch makes two different wires hot depending on it's position, for example, it's a three or four way switch. The above description also assumes the wall box is fed from the ceiling box, but the opposite may be true. There may also be wires in either box that are feeding other circuits in the house. Electricity can kill or burn down your house. If unsure of what you are doing, hire a licensed electrician. Also be aware that if you touch the leads of the test light to two wires that are both hot, the light may not come on. Always test with one lead on a ground or a wire that you are sure is a neutral wire. I recommend tuning off the power to all the circuits in the boxes that you are working on, after you have determined what the wires are, by shutting off the circuit breaker(s) or removing the fuse(s). There may be more than one circuit in a box.

Want to install Fan and light control from one switch.

anyway, that all the lights work together makes it simpler

most fanlights, updated by homeowners replace a lamp only unit, with on/off provided at the switch, and cable pulls on the unit to change speed direction of the fan

my favorite is paired dimmer switches, giving control separately of light and fan speed, fan direction still changes on the pull switch, requires 3 wires in the switch box, (power and 2 switched lines), to the lamp connector and fan motor connector, any sparky can pull the extra line with fishtape along the existing cable run. easy peasey.
Really good electricians pull three wire to light circuits, when the house is built or reno-ed. but you know how oftern that is gonna happen, 3 wire costs 3c more per foot, if there is 3 wire in the switch box -your home and hosed

or just for speed/dimmer control a dimmer switch can replace the existing single switch. but you still have to pull the cords to start the fans

its easy, with the caveat that you may kill yourself, or someone else, or burn the house down, if you dont do it right

Did you get wiring diagram for Orca 9512X shereder swithc.

Wiring is as follows.

Looking down on switch from the back with the forward facing the feed. and control on top

Top left has two yellow wires one to bottom right of switch other to control box/board

Top right has orange going into control box/board

middle left has black going to motor

middle right has red going to motor

bottom left has smaller red going to control box/boafd

bottom right has yellow from top left.

Hope this helps. I'm still trying to find a manual for mine.
