I have a 12yo Sharp r-430cs microwave. The LED is not displaying all the "lights" in the numbers/alpha readouts. It is missing a lot more of the readout than it is showing. Everything else is working

Go to Sharp's website and check availability of the clock/timer readout board. Being that old you may not be successful, but it;s worth a try.

I need a new transformer for my Sharp Microwave Model # R1214 - the part number is RTRN-Bo68MREO (1100 watt microwave)

The part number has been changed to RTRN-B098MRE0. You can find it new on the Sears parts site and at Encompass parts. There's a used one available on eBay for quite a bit less. Given its cost, when the high-voltage transformer fails, most people find it's cheaper to replace the oven.

Sharp Carose Microwave - Digital readout only shows part of numbers. How to replace and cost for part? R-1501 THANKS, Dave

Some other web sights said I should not go into the microwave to repalce the timer display. Additionally, it appeared the part may be relatively expensive. I decided to just live with it as it is.
Thanks,
Dave

Sharp Micorwave 1210 LCD display cannot be read. Can this be fixe

There are two options for this model:

- You can order our exclusive modified control unit with our proprietary upgrades for $90, then if you return your defective control unit in repairable, good cosmetic condition, we'll give you a core refund of $25. It comes with a one-year guarantee. For details, see: http://www.microwavedisplay.com/exchange.htm

- Or we can repair your existing control unit for $39.95 in about a week or so with a one year guarantee.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your model number) for more information & help.

The Display is Dim. Hard to read the numbers.

I have the same model and problem. The time display is totally unreadable. Looking for a solution as well. I suspect given the cost (I believe around $60), it's time for a new one. Anyone have any suggestions or easy repair ideas?
