Pixelated appearance

Hello Anon, it seems you may be looking at a driver conflict here. Setting up this project is easy; bring in a second monitor and prepare to swap between the two frequently.

1. On the Eizo's menu initiate the self calibration.
2. When the Eizo completes the self calibration and the Pixelation persists, uninstall all the Graphic Card drivers on your computer.
3. Install the manufacturer's specific graphics card drivers from the manufacturers website.
4. If the monitor continues to be pixelated then ensure that your GC is 4k ready. (That it can natively display 2560x1440 @ 16:9 aspect ratio).

I suspect your Graphics Card is not up to par, it likely has full 1080 but not enough to push 4k as your monitor natively runs. Purchase any GC with a 4k ready capacity and you will enjoy the full beauty of your purchase.

Power light blinking and no pic not even the "no signal", i'm pretty handy around components but still would like to know if it can be fixed .

Hi

Test it with a different power cable and with a different computer or laptop, to definitively isolate the fault.

The power light blinking indicates an internal power management problem.

Monitors, TVs etc. do not have a user repair friendly internal work environment. Even when disconnected from the mains, they contain large numbers of high capacity capacitors which store enough charge to seriously injure or even kill an inexperienced repairer.

Whether you attempt the repair yourself or take it to a technician, any repair will most likely involve replacing the power inversion unit, which will probably be expensive.

Monitors are inexpensive and normally have a long lifetime, so I would recommend buying a new one.

If you do opt to go down the repair route, a repair technician with lots of damaged monitors and monitor parts in stock may have a used component to replace the damaged part.

I hope this helps.

It is m215hwo comes on for a few seconds then goes off

Hi,

There could be few possibilities.Unfortunately, as i am not there, i could only provide few details that would help you to diagnose the problem and take an appropriate action to resolve it :-

1.If there was something wrong with the graphic card, you would see atleast some Junk data (garbled image or something) on your monitor.
2. When the monitors goes off, the light would had gone "off" or changed color (if there is a sleep mode light). But it stays white and this shows that the monitor's main board has issues. (issue can be anything like some IC getting heated up or a loose connection)

Solution:
1. Make sure that the power and data cord of your monitor is fixed tight. (behind desktop and behind monitor). My guess is you have already done this.
2. Use this monitor with some other computer and see if it works fine. If it does, than there is something wrong with the graphic card or its compatibility with your monitor. If it doesnt, than get it replaced.

Mostly this happens because of a bad Data or Power cable of monitor. So replace both the cables of Acer monitor and see if it works.

If it still doesn't work than its 100% a hardware problem on the circuit board and unless its in warranty, the repair will not be worth it.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Viewsonic vx2835wm monitor, in DVI mode connection, altough getting signal from the PC(Other monitor connected and tested for graphic card problem-No graphics card problem!!) , Prompts "No input-signal"...

You will need to change the resolution of the screen on the computer to 800-600 and the bit to 24bits or 16bits, to do this right click on the windows screen, and click properties, goto settings.
You should see a slider at the bottem left of the screen to adjust the resolution, and a drop down bar on the other side for the bit rate. This should solve the problem, also you could open the scond screen also in the display properties, and drag what you need to see on the screen to that screen, you will know what i mean when you open screen 2 it just expands the desktop. hope this helps.

Lcd monitor has streaks like herringbones

Dear i can send an information of your monitor problem please follow the instructions and make your monitor is right.

I suspect that there is a defect in the LCD panel.

Unplug it from the computer and see if they go away.

Try the monitor on a different computer and/or try a different monitor on your computer.

If the problem follows the monitor, then you need a new one. If it is under warranty get it replaced.

If it follows the computer then you may need a new graphics card.

Thanks.
