What does change sources audio to PCM mean

PCM or Pulse Code Modulation. It's basically the form of sound that digital sound is decoded into to be outputted to the speakers. In the case of Blu-Ray, it is high-bit rate uncompressed audio that should be significantly better than the standard compressed Dolby Digital track. So change audio output on your device to the HDMI output

I need to know what model of a Motorola DVR is compatible with my receiver. What model can connect DIRECTLY from it's audio output to the audio input of my STA-795 Optimus Digital receiver (not through the...

Do you really have TV Audio OUT to a DVD (last sentence)?

Most DVR's have digital and analog audio outputs. Since every device they are intended to feed would have its own volume control a DVR output volume control might be redundant. Treat a DVR like any other audio device. Connect it to any available input on the receiver EXCEPT PHONO.

If you run the audio from the DVR (and EVERY video source) directly to the STA-795 you can bypass the TV and its questionable audio electronics (yuk). You can split the analog output of the DVR with y-cables and run it from the DVR to TO the TV for casual viewing and listening through the TV sound system (news, Oprah, etc).

Can i take the output of a sirius ttr1 radio and feed it into a receiver to play over my bose system?

Of course, that's what it's designed for.

"The TTR1 features a headphone jack for personal listening, and an output for connecting to a stereo or other device. " - like any other common audio device.

I assume your unnamed Bose system has an available analog RCA input.

How do I connect my cable TV to my denon recevier? Do I need special cables?

Hello all you need is a pair of RCA cables 1 red 1 white for this to work. They are readily available at any Walmart or Target

just use the audio output of your TV to any input EXCEPT PHONO on your receiver

I use video 1 because its easy to remember

if your TV does not have an audio output all is not lost you could use the audio output of your cable box for this to work as well.

Hope that helps

Lost right channel of CD

This service manual is available here http://www.manualscenter.com/onkyo-c-74.html?page=14&sort=2a. The cost is 10 bucks or 15 bucks, depending on if there is an X at the end of this model number or not.You will need to check the final output stage for an open circuit, possibly a shorted output device or a drive IC or transistor. First open this unit and make sure there are no open channel output fuses. Some models have these. Not sure about this model. Good Luck
