Question about Whirlpool LER4634J Electric Dryer

2 Answers

I washed, then dried a rug that instructs to "air dry." (Now I see the instructions for proper care...) I have A LOT of little rubbery pieces in the dryer and I have a fear of setting the dryer on fire if I use it. I have vacuumed, cleaned everything reachable. Is it okay to use it? (Yes, I have turned it on and had a burnt rubber smell.)

Also get a long skinny brush made for dryers or fridge coils, and (with the dryer off) run this down the lint filter slot. Also inspect your dryer duct, and brush that out if needed.

Even tho you've cleaned out the lint trap and the drum, small pieces of your rug have most likely passed by the filter, or thru the seam where the drum meets the front and rear panels. I would recommend pulling off the front cover, and vacuuming out the "innards" of your dryer. That way you can be confident that you're good to go. You can also remove the lint filter and with a vacuum edging tool **** out any visible "chunks" in the duct. Let me know if you need assistance opening up your dryer.

This advice is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet model FRONT LOADERS displaying the “F02” error code.

“F02” is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

  1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
  2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
  3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.
To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385844-checking_drain_pump_kenmore_elite_front

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump.

Easy and correct wash dry instructions

Just as I suspected, this is made out of synthetic materials. [main body] Invista Lycra, [compression] PWX FLEX, [panels] Powermesh

I suggest that you set it on "hand wash" setting on your washer. If that is not available, use "Delicate" or "Gentle" cycle. If you don't have a washing machine, best thing to do is hand wash it. Fill a clean sink with water, add a little bit of gentle detergent (many different brands are available and labeled as "gentle care". I use Seventh Generation, which can be bought at regular grocery stores and even Target!

And then hang dry it. Dryers ruin clothing especially manmade materials. I typically hang something at night and it is dry by the morning. Also recommend hanging your top in the bathroom as the enclosed area has a greater deal of circulation/ air flow than other areas of the house.

I lost my instruction manuel and i dont know how to put oil in the airfilter

pop air filter of.Carefull not to let anything get down into engine. Remove sponge. If theres 2 sponges then you need to coat the inner sponge. pour a little onto sponge and squeeze so it gets into all the holes. give it the sponge a good last squeeze holding over jar to get rid of excess as this will prevent air from entering engine. Fit air filter back on. Good idea to have a few spare so when one is used others can be washed and dryed. Either wash in wasing up liquid and dryed or nitro fuel and dryed.Hope this helps.
