Question about Cell Phones
Hi if the phone can still receive calls and still lights up then your phone is working which is the good news as its not going to cost you a lot to put right.
now the problem you have is a very common problem and i answer about 20 of these same problems a day, this problem is common with all flip and slide phones.
now the problem is with a thin data ribbon that connects the screen to the circuit board, this thin ribbon has several single strand copper wires running through it and each time you open and close the phone this ribbon moves so it keeps the contact with the screen, how ever over time the strands of wire become brittle then one breaks and you lose the connection with the screen, you know the screen is still getting power as its white but its not getting any data so this points at this ribbon being at fault.
the good news is as this is such a common fault on all phones the part itself is cheap to buy and it wont cost you much to get it repaired as its only the ribbon that needs replacing then its worth getting the phone fixed as it wont cost much at all.
dont take your phone into one of the big branded shops as they will send it off and you wont have it back for a couple of weeks and they also charge alot more, you need to take it to a small self owned phone shop like the small ones on the highstreet that have nothing to do with the network providers and ask them to do the repair for you, they will be a lot cheaper and they should repair it whilst you wait or the next day at the latest.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
