Question about Refrigerators
A model number would be of assistance in trouble shooting your problem. Check the condenser and make sure it is clean and the fan motor runs when the compressor runs. If the compressor gets overheated it will cycle off on its thermal protector. Allow time for it to cool off before restarting it. You did not give the age of the refrigerator. If it has a lot of years of runtime on it the compressor may be done working.
