KitchenAid Dishwasher I have a KitchenAid Model KUDS25SH Serial FKO531820 "CHILD LOCK" Light Stays on I have tried what is suggested in the manual of holding the ENERGY SAVER DRY button in for 4 seconds, it did not work, I have turned off the power to the washer, that did not work, any suggestions for this guy who is tired of doing dishes? If you press any pad while your dishwasher is locked, the

To turn off the Child Lock
Press and hold ENERGY SAVER DRY for 4 seconds. The

Thanks for using FixYa. To turn off the child lock press and hold the Energy saver Dry for 10-15 seconds. If this does not help the unfortunately you’ll have to replace the control panel. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

If holding the "Energy Saver/Dry" button does not solve the control board problem then most probably the control board would have failed and needs to be replaced .

To identify it we need technical expertise in handling the circuit boards and knowledge on usage of multimeter is must.

Locate the "Energy Saver/Dry" button on the dishwasher. The location of this button will be different depending upon the specific model number of the dishwasher, but should be easy to spot. If you have trouble finding it, you can check the diagram in the manual of your dishwasher for the exact location for your specific model.
Press and hold down this "Energy Saver/Dry" button for at least four seconds. Make sure that you do not release the button until at least 4 seconds have passed, otherwise the lock will not become disabled.
Check to make sure that the child lock indicator light has turned off. If this light is no longer on, this means you were successful at turning off the child lock. If the light is still on, repeat the process, but try to press and hold the "Energy Saver/Dry" button for a few seconds longer. If it still doesn't work, there may be a more complicated issue with your dishwasher. Consult your manual, or call to the manufacturer or repair man to determine if there is another problem with your dishwasher.

MY KUDI25 CHWH1 has the exact same problem...I'd love to hear about a fix!

ok shut off the breaker for at least 1 min if you have had a power surge you not know it can affect items then turn breaker back on and then push and hold the lock button some times up to 90 sec once you see lock go off then release the lock button then your back in business

Hold the button down until it beeps and the light goes off. Eric
