Tip

Quick links into your facebook account security / privacy settings

Worried out your facebook account settings then here are most of the direct URL's that will allow you to change these settings you will be prompted to login to your own account.

SET USERNAMES FOR USERS AND PAGES
http://www.facebook.com/username

When you have over 25 members you can goto this link and create a vanity concatenated username for the facebook search engines, alphanumeric plus full stops only.

For Example this facebook page

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Windows-Tips-Club/134565513231284

can be renamed to either

http://www.facebook.com/Windows.Tips.Club
http://www.facebook.com/WindowsTipsClub
NOT
http://www.facebook.com/Windows-Tips-Club

Make sure that it is what you really want to do because its a one shot affair, and can only be changed to a username that has not already been taken.

NOTE this helpful facebook tip the fullstops in the username are the same as the username without so its a good idea to use the first to regsiter the page the one without the stops will be redirected to the same page.

How do i delete my facebook account

If you deactivate your account, your Timeline disappears from the Facebook service immediately. People on Facebook won't be able to search for you, though some info, like messages you sent, may still be visible to others. We also save your Timeline information (ex: friends, photos, interests) in case you want to come back.If you don't think you'll use Facebook again, you can request to have your account permanently deleted. Taken from facebook info page.

It dosent let me go in to my facebook acoount it say that ,,,Understanding Friend Requests on Facebook Friend requests are more likely to be accepted when you send them to people you already know, such as...

It is most likely that facebook as banned/locked your account for abusing their friend request system by sending requests to strangers.
If this is what you have done there is not much you can do, you may have to make a new account.

However if this is a mistake you should contact facebook support here: http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=835 and request that they review your ban.

When i log in to my Facebook account, i will see "Friend Requests Blocked for 7 Days". it's been nine days already and i can't still access my account.

Sending requests to strangers is considered spam, that's why your requests have been blocked.

You can visit the "help center" on your facebook account to learn more.

What is my security code .?ncessjasmine@yahoo.com

Facebook account once established members are provided a password with username that are both required to type key on site to attain accessibility. Prior to establshing a facbook membership account, an email account that is established from an laternate web provider makes later requests achievable. For example, the email address with which makes establishing a facebook account attaianble becomes the means of commucnations with that web structure. In the situation that facebook member details either username or password were missplaced, a retrieval detail is emailed to the method to commucation available within the account. For example, nceesjasmine@yahoo.com is the email account from which details should be expected once requested from www.facebook.com replacement of missing credentials. First, type search www.facebook.com to arrive at the websiet from where an attempt to logon with the spaces provided makes possible requesting missing details. In which instance, requesting that a prefered contact email address should be ncessjasmine@yahoo.com shoudl be acessed to collect the new passcodes that makes possible loging into facebook.

FACEBOOK WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO USE MY REAL NAME. WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE MY NAME IN THE 'ACCOUNT SETTINGS' THE SYSTEM REJECTS THE NAME

Please note that Facebook account names must adhere to the following authenticity standards:
  • Your full first and last name must be listed. Nicknames can be listed if they are a variation of your first or last name, but only in the format "First Name ‘Nickname’ Lastname."
  • Accounts are for personal use only. To represent a celebrity, business or brand, please create a Facebook Page. Pages are for representing a real public figure, artist, brand or organization and may only be created by an official representative of that entity. For more information about Facebook Pages, please click here.
  • Professional and religious titles are not allowed in account names.
  • You can list your maiden name as your alternate name on the Account Settings page. Please note that account names that include "was", "nee", and "formerly" are not allowed.
  • Accounts can represent one person only. Accounts representing groups, families, or couples are not allowed.
Facebook reviews every name change request before it is approved. If your real, full first and last name has been rejected, you can submit your request for further review. Please select the option that best describes your issue:
  • I'm already registered, but I need to change my name: Please submit your name change request and allow 24 hours for the submission to be approved. Facebook reviews each name change request that is submitted. Due to the volume of requests we receive, your request may not be processed immediately. If you have already submitted the request and the 24 hours have expired, please submit your report to Facebook.
  • I'm trying to sign up for a new account to use as a personal profile: While signing up for a personal profile, please ensure that your full name does not contain any invalid punctuation and that it contains a full last name. If you're still having problems signing up for a personal profile, please submit a report.
