Did any of the previous answers help? If not, did you check the service manual which you got with the device? If it was not included, you can download one in a PDF document here: Kenmore Coldspot Model 106 Manual

Model number is not valid check plate inside refrigerator. Usually Sears Kenmore start with 3 digit model number like 590.xxxxxxxx, and usually have characters that tell u what characteristics the model has and what color scheme.

Kenmore coldspot side by side refrigerator - freezer fine. other

Good to see you put your model number down correctly. Do the lights come on inside when you open door? I noticed your refrigerator has a control board inside the fresh food section behind the control panel I want you to unplug the refrigerator and examine that board for burn marks or loose solder connections on both Sides. Then let me know what you find. Thanks, Sea breeze My email is appliancepsrtsse@yahoo.com Web Site http://servicepartstec.blogspot.com/ Part Number for Control board is 8201528
