Question about Nexus Prolong:Extra Cooling after PC shut down

E-machine computer will not shut down

Just bought a new e-machine computer T5254. One major problem is that it will not shut down. The screen freezes when in shut down mode.
Also, I have to open the Internet Explorer two times before it is operable.
Any answers?

Your files might have been corrupted i know the end close screen file sometimes and will get corrupted quicker than startup screen
now the question is was this the floor model or a straight out of the box unopened comp cause floor models always needs to be reformated those are the show comps. people play with those all day once you reform. comp. and put in new O.s. system everything should come back to working perfectly and dont forget spyware checkers and virus blockers name branded backed up these will help protect your comp

simple other solution might be you just need to upgrade your system files threw windows update

when always buying a comp try not to purchase floor models bad idea these have less running time then a brand new comp

floor models are on constantly and people get to check the features its like buying a used car from a show room knowing its life is almost gone but still looks good my opinion floor models are bad to buy make sure to buy straight out of the box with everything included in packageing

Frozen screen when hot

- Stop Overclocking your CPU.
- Make sure your Heat Sink is placed properly above the processor.
- Clean the Processor fan, Heat Sink and other peripherals.
- Use High Speed fans.
- Use CPU Heat Sink Paste in the processor.
- Fix OS registry with reliable program like I always use Reginout.
- Shut down your computer atleast two hour a day.

Most of the time, PC starts running slow and freezing by lots of reasons. Corrupt registry, unnecessary applications, as well as too many start-up items would be the major reasons contributing to this problem. Many PC users simply utilize PC yet never consider how to maintain and optimize PC performance. I would suggest you to download any reliable program to fix registry, to manage unnecessary applications & start-up items like am using Reginout since 2011. Many programs are available in market which can perform these steps, but don't believe on free products. Now its up to you. :-)

Good Luck.

Your operating system is corrupted with either a virus and/or missing drivers. That blue screen of death your receiving is because of missing or corrupted and the computer doesn't know what to do so it crashes. I would do a clean install of windows.

Your computer overheated, it needs a service/clean. With the vacuum cleaner. See my guide to get it working again, it is entitled My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!!

Install more fans, it needs cooler air to get into the chassis.

Take care!

T5254 shuts down after start up. Tried a new power supply but still have the same problem.

Try to get into your BIOS and restore all Default setting or go to a PC expert. There is also a jumper inside your computer, that should be mapped on a CPU map that you must have got from the place you bought it.

Emachines w2828 keeps shutting down reboot/Screen Freeze

I dont thing this is a virus problem but a heat problem. if you dont mind getting inside the box see how clean it is and put your hand on the power box case .. then unplug all the hardware except the mother board then turn the unit on, if it goes on then plug 1 hardware at a time.

E-machine computer will not shut down

When you say "it will not shut down", are you referring to clicking on start and then shut down?

You could try forcing a shut down by holding the power switch down for about 5 seconds.

Screen is off

With the machine only being two weeks old, I would RUN not walk back to the store for an exchange. This is a hardware malfunction or failure, and there is no way that the machine should have done this in such a short amount of time. Just tell them that the machine froze, you shut it down by holding the power button down (there was no other way), and now it won't boot. Don't tell them that you left it until the battery ran out, a sudden shut down due to a dead battery can cause damage, and they may give you a warranty run around for that. If they give you any type of run around, demand a manager, then demand he/she give you an exchange. Don't take the run around and don't be afraid to get loud. Managers back down quick to a loud irate customer, they don't like other customers to think badly of their store. NOTE: If a machine ever freezes, and they will, you should shut it down by holding the power button down. It takes a few seconds, but the power button will override the system and shut the machine down. Most freeze ups are just due to software glitches and will start right back up, but in your case it's hardware, since the machine will not start up at all.
