If the push switch is bad then you will need part number 23344507 the same part number is used for POWER, VOL, MENU etc... So to verify you could swap one of the others to the power.

Are you replacing the backlight and the backlight driver? Both should be done, the connections get burnt. It is almost cheaper to just buy a new LED TV, far superior picture and all around performance.

Power surge

Yes possibile there's some IC's that are burn inside it and also the power supply can be damage so resetting it will not do anything , if you can take it to a repair center and let them check this unit and fix it.

Good luck........

How do I solve a power up / switch on problem with a Toshiba TV model REGZA 37WLT68?

may be a bad Capacitor on the motherboard, or its a bad power supply board. upon disassembly look at the Caps (image posted) near where the power goes into the tv. Typically larger ones. if any of them look swollen or burnt, then that is your problem. it must be de sautered and replaced with one of the same specs. if all of them look okay, then you probably need a new power supply board, which should be seperate board from the main board of the tv, depends on the model though. Also, check all around the board, there may be a bad (watch) battery on the board or a bad (glass) fuse.(also imaged)

I have toshiba tv which was working nearly 10 year without any problem but now tv is not working if we switch on it power supply to the tv is proper but tv is not working please come an see this...

Hi
Firstly and would remove all the leads from your TV and check them. .
WHAT I RALLY THINK IS THE PROBLEM IS THE PICTURE TUBE BURNT OUT IF YOU HEAR IT CLICK ON WHEN YOU HIT THE POWER BUTTON BUT YOU SEE NO PICTURE OR HEAR IT CLICK BACK OFF THEN YOUR PICTURE TUBE IS BURNT OUT

If it is still failing then there is a strong possibility that your Eeprom IC on your main AV Board is corrupt and needs replacing. This should only be attempted if you have good soldering skills as they are Surface mounted and very small.
My advise if your skills are not that good is just to replace the main AV board (Scart Board) these usually sell for around £50 but WILL solve your problem.

I have gone trough everything i know here that would cure the fault, most times one of the above three will cure this, but im afraid other times its just time for a new AV board.

Hope iv helped some people out here.
Any comments or thumbs up appreciated.

Burnt Resistor

There are LIKELY other bad components that caused this. Resistors USUALLY don't fail on their own.

Turned on and smoke

Is the burnt circuit on the motherboard or the power switch circuit board that plugs into the motherboard? Big difference, if the burnt circuit is on the motherboard then yes the motherboard is done and will have to be replaced, but if it's just the power switch circuit bard, then this is replaceable.
