This could be many reasons the unit could be frozen or something could be broken on the inside. First lets start with resetting the unit. To reset this unit unplug it. Hold the power and stop button on the unit for 30 seconds. This will discharge any power left inside. Now wait 1 minute and plug the unit back in. The unit should power on and either work or still say hello. From there please let me know and we can then go from there on how to diagnose exactly what is wrong with the unit and wether or not it can be repaired. I have worked on these units before so please let me know by following up with a comment. Thanks,-Midwest-tek

Are you certain the replacement power supply is good? A defective main board or power supply can cause this problem.

Installed Utilitech 192773. The lights works, the backlight display comes on light blue but there is not numbers on the digital digital display

Reset timer, and see if that fixes problem
Use toothpick or paper clip to press reset button, or refer to instruction sheet, or copy following link.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Program-wire-Utilitec-0192773.html

I have tested this utilitec timer, and using reset button will repair most problems.
If not, then Timer has 1 year warranty against defect, but it is easier to buy new timer at Lowes, and return defective timer in new package and report timer as defective.

Unit works fine but LCD display does not illuminate. Can be seen in a low ligfht room but it does not light up like it did for years. Do these LCD displays just die???

The older LCD's have backlights hidden behind the display that burn out over a period of time, this is a tricky repair because the unit needs to be stripped down and the covering removed. Soldering skills for most jobs will be required.

No light in display

When the display is out? Does the backlight ever come on? If so, then there is no way to change this. If the backlight doesn't come on, contact Bose for service.

Well Jamez sounds like you have eather blown the soeakers or the output IC's inside the unit. If you have a meter you can simply disconnect the speakers and test the resistance of the speakers with an ohm meter. If you dont have an ohm meter then you can connect them up to another stereo or have them and the unit tested at a repair center. Sorry not really any serviceable parts in these systems. Good Luck
