13 yr old dishwasher suddenly stopped working mid pre wash. Water left in bottom of machine. Power point is fine. Will not start at all now though. No lights turn on either. Is it fixable ?

If it is 13 years old, it has most likely reached its end of life--whatever the cause, something has malfunctioned. However, a service technician would probably be able to advise.

Defective washer control board is the most common fault.

My hotpoint aquarius df61 do not clean properly cannot find the problem all filters cleaned .all of the crockery comes out dirty

Just had same problem. Checked and cleaned spray arms filter and impellor. Still had problem. Noticed that it appeared to be expeling water to drain at wrong time. Openned mid cycle and noticed water level low.
Took off left side panel to reveal pipework. Main pipe route big oblong in clear plastic had a red valve at the top which was gunged. This was the air release so when water is pumped in air has nowhere to go so it pushes water out through the waste so ther is too little water in machine. Removed this component and used caustic soda to dissolve food waste blocking valve as there is no access. Put it back together and now it works fine. Took about 2 hours (1 hour for caustic to work) no special tools other than star screwdriver required as it all unclips.

Washer stopped during spin cycle

Hello, try to checked the pump filter, and the pump is actually working. then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump works fine then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
Thanks

Have you checked the pump filter, and or that the pump is actually working. if it spins o/k with no water in, then I would suspect a draining problem.

Shuts off mid-cycle

Hello d_a_laroque,
This is a really common problem with the cuisinarts. I am most familiar with the DCC-1200, but you may be able to still solve the problem. The shutting down mid cycle is an indication that something may be plugged up. Open the top of the unit and in one of the corners you should find a filter stick or column that is removable. Pull it out and open it up to clean out the clogged up carbon filter in there. (You can later buy a new filter on Amazon.) Clean out the debris from the bottom of the cavity. Replace the stick into the cavity once cleaned. Now it's time to run through a solution of 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Do this once or twice with fresh solutions, then with a pot of fresh water. When the filter stick is plugged up the sensor says its time to clean it, but most people don't know about this fix. I hope this is helpful to you, d_a_larocque. Positive feedback is appreciated. Good luck. NormanZ

Code E 20 Apperas and machine stops

Giving you solution for Frigidaire Affit, you will find it very helpful. Plug off the mains. First drain out all your water by lowering the exit hose into a bucket or drain. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, the panel comes down & out. (You may find the drain hose here, on left) The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.

Washer stopping mid-cycle with no error

Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you have drained, unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out. F-21 filter blocked.

How abt a nice rating for the free help?

Dishwasher LD-14AW2, stopped working mid cycle

Since water doesn't drain out ,it could be a clogged in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Good luck!
