Apollo vp835 projector, poor quality. Replaced bulb, didn't help

you have at least 2 issues with your optical engine. both are due to excessive dust and heat. the fly-eye (diffuser) lens is fried, as is the light filter on one of the lcd panels. unfortunately, you cannot purchase individual parts for the optical engine. you'll have to replace the whole thing.

Its your blue polarizer going bad. This happens over time due to the excessive heat generated in the projector. The main problem is that your projector has organic LCD panels that degrade over time and in turn degrades your blue polarizer. The same thing happened to my sanyo Z2. It took 5 years for it to show on my Sanyo because I only use the projector for sports and movies. not daily tv watching. In any case, it isnt worth it to spend the money ti fix it...jut put tat towrds a new projector. The latest crop of LCD projectors almost all use in-organic LCD panels that last much longer. Hope this helps.

Hey there, my Sanyo PLV-Z2 was starting to have blue dust on the image, so i decided to clean the lens and remove the lamp for inspection ,everything fine , but when i reinstalled my lamp the blue had went...

( hope this doesn't sound too simplistic, but go back and check all your connections.
Take the cover off again and make sure that the main circuit board on top is pressed on tightly in the area over the right-hand back side because there are two connectors there. Also, there are several other connectors that should be checked--two on the left side, and one just underneath the left side. Those are all the kind where several wires enter a small, hard, plastic rectangle that then plugs into a little socket.

I have the same model projector, but my blue lcd panel is burned out. The other solution I can offer is for me to buy yours from you and use it for parts in mine. Good luck.

I also have the same problem -- the fix is to replace the optical block ( Internal lamp engine ) which is a $1,100 part. I just purchased a used projector for half the price of the part.

Optoma HD72 displays white circles when the picture is dark

Have your projector professionally cleaned. It is dust in the inside optics. You should not attempt unless you are very skilled. if you are going to do this yourself have a lot of compressed air on hand.

Hi there

If the problem occurs again , you will most probably have to replace the mainboard , as all the inputs of the unit lies on the mainboard itself.

Kf-42610 blue hue and blue dots on screen

Hi Guys

The Blue dots or discolouration you are seeing is due too the Blue LCD screen having cracked from excessive heat. This normally happens when you have a power failure while the Television was on. This obviously because the Blue LCD sits next to the lamp - the main cause of heat. The correct part number on the 60" is A-1086-952-A. It is very, very ,expensive.

Sorry to have been the bearer of bad news. Good luck : )
