Hi,
Do you get same high pitched noise in all inputs of receiver?
What are audio sources that are hooked with this receiver?
Make sure all wires/ cables are plugged correctly and tight.
Unplug one audio source cables at a time to see as it might be cause of problem, if no difference, replug and check next audio source.
Let me know above info to diagnose possible cause of problem.
Thanks.

OK, Did you plugged any mic in system? as squeal sound produce with feedback of speakers output in mic and this makes cycle of sound wave for squeal.
Other possibility is some thing wrong sound processor of receiver that is hardware problem and visual check by local tech is required to fix it.
    Thanks.

That doesn't seem like a problem with the system/ But make sure any eq settings are all at 0 and your mids arent all the way down or much lower than your high and lows. But if thats not it then it has to do with your music, try a different song. a different cd all together

Need to tune and peak my midland 1000 cb

sounds like a problem to me . I have one that was in fair shape that had the same symptoms , I pounded the crop out of it with a hammer and now it doesn't recieve anything . You can't find a service manual for it ,unless midland will sell you one but don't hold your breath . Remember a 26 oz. hammer works good but not the radio.

High pitch sound in background

A high pitch sound while connected in the house is either a problem with the reciever or you are picking up interference from somewhere. However, the high pitched noise when using the unit in a car (especially through an aux. connection), is caused by the alternator of the car. This can be eliminated by connecting a filter in-line with the aux wire (much like filters are installed on the radio power line). The filter is essentially a low pass filter that filters out noise above a certain frequency. You may have to get creative and modify your aux. input cable (i.e. - splice it into the aux cable) in order for this to work, or you can just turn the volume down a bit - it should be less noticeable at lower volumes.
