Your over heating check and see if you can put in cooler spot also make sure u are getting good voltage through wires use a volt meter on pos and neg connectors at amp while radio is down and then when it is 3/4 volume should not drop more than.75 if is then go with bigger wires also if that does not work and amp is hot to touch check on installing fans

Theres a light on inside my amp, but the power light wont come on. ive rewired it several times and it still wont work, i really dont want to buy a new amp. what do i do?

First and foremost, check your fuse at the battery terminal. Then make sure you are getting your 12V from your remote turn on, and lastly make sure all of the connections are properly terminated.

The red protect light is coming on

It is possible that your amp is going over the threshold limit of draining current to give out the protect signal. What could be done is to first checkout if your speakers are loading the amplifier, check the rating of the speakers and the impedance, must not be too low.below 2 ohms. Now check the source signal if this is bringing in any transcient signals to power out the outputs particularily high/low freq. So decrease off your bass and treble to mid position and test again. see if there is any improvement, if so there could be a filter problem with your set. Connect an external source and see if the amp powers better , in such case check for fault in cables, input lines and ground with in the set. Repeat this and check. Hope this helps you out. Good day

Led light turns red and the turns off but the amp

In Car Amplifiers have 3 main power wires:
Live +12v (Fused wire direct from the + side of the cars battery)

Ground (Direct to car earthing point (anywhere cleaned of paint for good connection)(I tend to use boot lock)

Remote (This wire should be connected with the switched live wire coming from the back of the stereo, this is Only live when the cars ignition is on)(there should be 2 power wires coming from the stereo usually red live +12v and yellow switched live, depending on the cars original wiring, try moving the remote wire from where you have it, to the other live wire

Hope this is of some help

Works perfect but then turns off

Be sure to have a good ground. If that is not the problem it could be the speaker or sub are hooked up to pull a certain ohm off amp and the amp is not rated to run at that ohm it will cause the amp to go into protect mode. Check how many ohms your speakers and amp are rated. Rewire speakers to specs.

Sony amp 1000w

Check the wiring of the speakers (both inside the box and between the box and the amp). It sounds like one speaker is wired incorrectly at one connection point.

Rt 202 led light red and no sound

With the system turned off, disconnect the speaker wires from the amplifier. Turn on the system. If the light stays red, then the amplifier has an internal problem. If the light turns green, then your problem is a blown speaker, or a speaker wiring issue.
