The best procedure to date, find your cmos bios battery which should be in the compartment with the modem card near your hard drive and memory compartment under your laptop.
Disconnect it, remove your battery and power adapter, press and hold your power button for at least a minute. Re-attach everything as usual making sure you are static free of course and then try powering the unit back up. If you don't have time for any this, I perform laptop repair services, and sales in my area.
