Dell Inspiron N5110 screen rotated how do I get it back to normal


That is a software setting. You probably accidentally hit a shortcut key that rotates the screen.
Go to the graphics options (right click on the desktop/wallpaper), there is probably a rotation option (tab). Set the rotation to normal (0 degrees).

Restore my dell inspiron to original factory settings


If you have the Dell Recovery CD for your computer then boot up with this CD and follow the instruction to install the original Windows OS.
If you do not have the Recovery CD then you need to get it from Dell.
You can download the Recovery CD and device drivers from Dell WEB site,the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop,better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages,the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Hello, Both of my machines were infected with the windows xp recovery virus. I managed to remove the virus manually. Now my desktop icons are hidden as well as a majority of programs, i.e. windows office...


Hi,

DELL has a awesome feature most of the time.... they ship with a recovery disk where you can set back your PC to factory.

Now if its just the icons... go and make a right click on your desktop / Properties / Desktop / Customize Desktop >>> there you can check mark some of the default windows icons.

For the Windows office, it might have corrupted and might need to be installed again...

Other icons can be brought onto the desktop by Clicking on Start >> All Programs >> then right click on the program you want the short cut on your desktop and "Send to" >> Desktop (Create Shortcut)

I can`t start my computer normal. He always gets stuck with a set-up and also does not go on afterwards. How do I come now to my normal start side of Windows?


If you Optiplex immediately goes to strike F2 for set up it is most likely the CMOS battery has failed and needs to be replaced. Once it is replaced you will need to reset the BIOS and save the settings. When you reboot, it should then go back to normal. I have a dell pv model 02x378 however the display has altered and eveything seems to be huge how do i get it back to what it normally was ?


your resolution is probably changed, the same thing happened to me twice. what i do is go to the control panel and then hit display settings you should see resolution somewhere then sett it to high

Our Dell computer speakers work but the sound is not normal voices. It's like the voices are animated


It is possible that a setting on your soundcard has the pitch of the voices higher than normal or an effect is turned on that isnt required. Have you tried plugging the speakers into another source to see if it sounds the same?

Sounds like a driver might have gone AWOL. Can you go into safe mode? Usually by pressing F8 after the Dell logo you will be prompted to go into safe mode.

Go insto safe mode and once inside restart the computer. This will repair anything that may have shutdown improperly.

If you can, also change the resolution to the least available, normally 800x600. Once you get back into the "normal" session, you can set it to your liking.

Download the Video driver from Dell's website, Enter your service tag number (which it on a label located on the back of the unit) in the second line on this page. It will bring up the correct driver for your unit.
