Question about Kenmore 22422 Top Load Washer
When filling the washer machine, the washer machine keeps filling until it overflows. Do i need to replace a pressure sensor or some kind of water meeter so that the washer machine "clicks" and begins to wash the load instead of overfilling?
When I start filling water in my washing machine, after filling level completion the spinning cycle start but filling of water does not stop and have to turn off the water from the main supply hose only, plz suggest.....!
If the water continues when electricity is discontinued the soleoid valve is jammed open, a fleck of rust or something, not designed to be repaired, it is easier and cheaper to replace. they are a standard part that fits 99% of all washers ~$10-20 at the local parts guy.
Usually only the cold solenoid has failed. it gets used more often.
If you are like me and only use cold water, swap the hoses on the taps, and swap the wire connectors on the solenoid valves, so the former hot is now cold, and you will get about the same number of years before you have to replace anything

I recently had the same problem. I checked the end of the air hose coming from the tub. It had a tear in it right at the connection. I just cut off the hose at the tear and placed the hose back on the connection.

Yes !! you need to replace the sensor meter , usually located on the side of the tub , open washer and look for a sensor glued to the tub with a long clear hose that runs up to the water set knob, hope this helps AJ
