Thats the freeze up that they call, i suggest lower the contrast so the battery will have smooth capacity then disable screensaver, all update make it manual, http://www.buzzillions.com/reviews/acer-aspire-one-aod150-1920-10-1-netbook-reviews <--this is the review of that however if you will lessen the auto sched of this netbook the freeze up will disappear.

Touch pad not working

Hi

Maybe you accidentally hit lock key of your touch pad. Just press FN key + F7 key (key logo for touch pad).

Or run the SYSTEM RESTORE, Go to START, Choose ACCESSORIES, choose SYSTEM TOOLS, choose SYSTEM RESTORE and then choose PREVIOUS RESTORE DATE that your touch pad is working fine. If not, use the other restore dates if necessary.

Please rate and make a comment if you find this solution very helpful and might help others as well. Post more comments if you need more help.

Touch pad is not working and system when it starts up it is OK but shortly afetrwards it saturates

try installing the latest driver if that fails, you might need to pry off the bezel and clean the toucpad there might be some dirt that got stuck in there and causing it to press on the touchpad

My touch pad does nothing

start in safe mode and see if it works, if not, try to uninstall and re-install the mouse drivers ( could be a conflict) if driver re-installation fails, do system restore to a date when the touch was ok( you could have been hit by a virus). if still no luck, check touch pad hardware> means you have to open unit. check the touch pad to motherboard interface( could be loose).

First you should check if the button that enables and disables your touch pad is on. It's the button left to the power button.

My r60 model upper tochpad keys not working

Lets see if the Lenovo computers are alike, since I have a T60 version...
Lets start by going to the: -> START button click on the Control Panel -> click on MOUSE -> click on ULTRANAV tab -> there will be a check mark to Enable the Touch Pad Check off the Touch Pad and click on APPLY to save and OK to back out.
Voila, your Touch pad should be working then.
Good Luck.

I cannot enable the touchpad settings.

Hi there...

First of all has the touch pad ever worked?

Lets give this a try, go to the START button and left click, look for the CONTROL PANEL and double click on it.

When the Control Panel opens look for the MOUSE and double click to open page, on the tabs look for ULTRANAV, you should see a check mark box, ensure that there is a check mark under the Enable Touch Pad, hit the APPLY and OK.

Voila, your touch pad should start working.

Whilst typing the cursor moves to another part of the document

If your laptop has the option too you can turn off touch pad through a switch above the touch pad.

If you can't find this, or you don't have one, simply go to the run command and type in devmgmt.msc, ok.

Once in the device manager go "Mice and Other Pointing Devices"
look for your touchpad, right click on it and select disable.

Please note, some laptops wont let you disable to the touchpad, mine wont, but mine has an on and off key.

ON/OFF Key
Touch Pad On
Touch Pad Off

This will keep the mouse from moving whole you type, but I suggest you get a regular mouse, especially if you have to disable the device with the Device manager.

Toshiba Laptop "Enter" and touch pad not working

This screen should have a 30 second count down, then start Windows normally. If yours doesn't do this, then she may have keyed the automated recovery and interrupter it causing an operating system error or glitch. If this is the case you will need to run a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. If it does start Windows after the count down, then run a system restore. One of these will take care of your problem. Also, there is no locking command for the touch pad or enter key.
