Question about Apple MA590LLA Mac Desktop

NVidia Problem I have been using Boot Camp to play Sins of a Solar Empire in Vista. Sometimes when I am playing, my monitor will go completely dark for a few seconds and then I can resume playing the game. When i quit the game, Windows tells me that a problem occurred with my nVidia drivers. What can I do to fix this?

Are you using the latest version of Boot Camp (v2.1)? If you are not, fire up Apple Software Update on your computer's Windows partition and update it. That includes MANY updates for graphics and the like. If that doesn't work, you can go to nvidia.com and get the drivers from there. Most likely the 8800 GS or the 7300 GT. If you have a white iMac, it's the 7300 and those drivers can be found here and if you have a brand new Aluminum iMac, it is the 8800 GS, and the drivers are here. Be careful to install the correct one as the second link is ONLY for the 8800 GS.

MY MONITOR VIDEO RESULT IS VERY BAD. WHAI IS BEST SETTING FOR NVIDIA GFORCE6150LE

I have no problem with 1440x 900. I can watch HD video. This video adapter I used with linux Ubuntu - up to 10/10, than MInt - up to 13. But under linux I could not watch the HD video(only under W XP). I am not expert on linux so maybe someone other who is expert has set up the linux better :)
I could play operation flashpoint, mafia, Empire earth on lower details.

Does i works for ps2 too

If you can find a copy of 7 Sins for the PS2, then yes. However, if you mean the disk you use with your pc, no it will not. PS2 uses a different OS than Windows to execute games- which means you cannot natively play a ps2 game in Windows, conversely you cannot play a windows game on the PS2

When i want to play empire earth 2 it say's insert the cd but i already insert the cd but still i cannot play the empire earth 2

Go to www.gamecopyworld.com and download a No CD Crack. This should let you play and is completely legal since you own the CD. They typically always have instructions so follow the specific instructions for a Patched -EXE file.

No signal to monitor

  1. Verify card is seated properly.
  2. Check bios settings. ie. disable onboard video, enable PNP OS installed, enable "assign IRQ to vga", disable shadowing and caching, enable passive release, enable delayed transaction, vga boot sequence: AGP, set graphics aperture size to 128MB, disable turbo modes.
  3. Verify power supply is at least 350 watts.
  4. Reboot into safe mode (press F8 right after the BIOS POST screen and before the windows loading screen) and use the program, Driver Cleaner Pro to remove Nvidia video driver remnants. Don't select all of the options, just the Nvidia driver and the plain ATI selection.
  5. Verify the monitor cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the computer.
  6. Verify that you have connected the cable to the vga port on the card and not the onboard vga port. (I'm not implying that you are dumb or anything like that, but sometimes even the best of us, overlooks the simple things... especially me! LOL)
  7. Verify the monitor cable is good.
  8. (Last but not least), try using another monitor to test. (Could be an incompatibility with the monitor.)
