My roper dryer is not giving off any heat. and everything else works just fine. The dryer is only 6 years old. I also just cleaned out the lint trap straight through.

Well if your dryer tumbles, but there is no heat then you may please check out the following - 1. First of all you can check out for proper air flow - Check the vent for proper air flow by placing your hand over the exterior vent while the dryer is running. You should feel a strong flow of air. If not then check the lint trap. It is located either on top of the dryer or possibly just inside the door. Remove any lint that has built up in the lint trap. Cleaning the lint trap should be done regularly, even as often as after every load. Do not operate the dryer without a lint trap in place. 2. Secondly you can check out the Ignitor - gas dryer blows air through a burner assembly to heat the air. The burner assembly consists essentially of a gas valve, ignitor and a flame sensor. If any part of the burner assembly malfunctions, the result will be low or no heat and slow drying of the clothes. Post comments for further help or information.....
Hi,
My bet is that your ignitor is bad....change the ignitor and you will be working again...
Here is a tip that I wrote about your problem that will explain it further...
Sorry for the obvious.....
Fluff on the cloths is from the lint trap not capturing it from the air flow.
Air is passed into the clothes from the laundry room. It is heated and then passed over the clothes... then filtered air is forwarded to the outside exhaust.
If you are seeing lint on your clothes, then the air coming in from your laundry area is not lint free.
1. check the back/bottom of the dryer for lint accumulation.
2. Remove the lint trap and clean out the duct work.
3. Inspect all the flooring and areas around the dryer for dust/lint - and clean any that you find.
I believe that you will then have a clean and dry load.
The proceedure of cleaning described above should be repeated every 6 months or so....

Sometimes this can happen when the vent line is clogged. TRY THESE MEASURES!!!!!!!! 1. If the dryer is gas and old, the pilot could be out or if it is newer it could have a defective or worn out a igniter! 2. Check if the lint filter is full and needs to be cleaned. Try this first. 3. Then check if the outside screen covering the exhaust vent is even half blocked with lint there will be no heat! This screen is to keep small animals out! Try checking this second and if it is clogged or the spring loaded door is stuck closed try to clean the lint out of the corners of the flap door, and or remove the screen permanently! I DID AND NO ANIMALS LIKE TO GET BURNT,IT'S HOT IN THAT TUBE! 2 years that mine is off and it's all is fine.
If none of these tasks remedy the heat problem then here is a good company that's found nation wide. A&E Factory Service A&E has schedulers available to take appointments 24/7 And they do warranty work too, for most manufactures! 1(800) 905-9505

DEAR FRIEND,
ngfam1 here for you!
I am happy to be of assistance!
CHECK THE LINT FILTER IS CLEAN AND CLEAN IT AFTER EVERY LOAD1 BUT IF THE VENT THAT LEADS OUTSIDE IS CLOGGED IT MAY CAUSE THIS . IN THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE THERE IS USUALLY A SCREEN AT THE VENT POINT THAT STOPS ANIMALS FROM ENTERING THIS VENT. GO LOOK AND CHECK THAT IT'S CLEAR AND FREE OF WADES OF LINT THAT MAY BE BLOCKING THE AIR OUT FLOW. THIS WOULD STOP IT FORM DRYING AND GETTING HOT ENOUGH TO DO THE JOB! IF THERE IS A DOOR THAT FLAPS OPEN OUT SIDE AT THIS SAME LOCATION WHEN THE DRYER GOES ON, CHECK THAT IT IS HANGING LOOSELY AND NOT STUCK CLOSED! OTHERWISE YOU WILL NEED SERVICE!
Here is a good service that I recommend to my customers,
