I bought a Mad Dog Multimedia 52x CD-RW "Dominator" and I can not get it to install. I read the quick install guide and I installed player and went to register and find out how to install the software (burning, Nero, etc.) and I couldn't get to your website. I got here and hope to get this finished. Thanks - Roger

SOURCE: nero serial number for MAD DOG BURNING

You will have to contact the software or hardware manufacturer for a serial number.

Giving serial numbers is not an activity that we can participate in.

Please be aware of this in future postings.

SOURCE: MacBook and Mad Dog Multimedia Compatible?

I have been using my Mad Dog External CD/DVD burner for serveral years now on both Mac & PC. However, I do have intermittant issues when the computer recognizes the Mad Dog but my software does not (Toast). There is no driver for Mac as far as I know. I called Mad Dog one time and they rudely suggested that Mac does not need a driver and that I should know that. No help at all!!! I will try the suggestion for PCs to turn everything off, turn on the Mad Dog, then boot my computer and see if that works. Does anyone else use a Mac and have more solutions?????

SOURCE: My Mad Dog Dominator 5-in-1 External CD-RW+DVD-Rom doesn't work.

Here is a link from Microsoft for unrecognized external devices. Click on the "Fixit" button to install the registry patch. Hopefully this will get you going. Best of luck.

Did you get the disk that was in the box? it should have Power DVD software in the box. (Mine did) are you using a windows operating system? The software included runs on windows only.

Lost my installation and information cd for 3-in-1 mad dog 52x cd-rw

I can't tell you where it is sorry, but if you are running an operating system ie windows xp or newer you will not need any drivers, also depending on what ports your motherboard has you only need to connect his to either an ide port(old type) remembering that you may have a hard drive connected into one of them also you will need to set the pins to iether primary or secondary again this depends on what setup you have on your motherboard. we really need more info

You can always try surfing the new via say google or look through a webste called tops hardware for your drive.

Do I need software to get my comp to recognize a new Mad Dog Multimedia external DVD/burner drive?

Hello

Depending on which version of windows you are using, you might need to install the drivers for the device.

I know XP and older versions have a mush smaller internal driver database than windows vista or windows 7.

You don't necessarily need to install software to operate the device, just need the driver installed, then your computer will recognize the device.

Hope this can help you.

Kind regards
Andrea
