Question about Fisher and Paykel Washing Machines

My washer bell dings when it gets to the rinse cycle, and it stops, it seems like it is off balance. thanks

Hi just read your posting.Now, I need the model number of your machine to help you further.Also when the machine beeps a series of lights will light up .These lights will be in a row of 8 lights,Starting from the left to the right which lights are lit,Is it the 2nd and 5th or the 1st and 7th ---etc---?Please reply with additional information and I can help you further.Looking forward to your reply.

1998 Saab Bell will not stop dinging, even when key is removed.


the lights are most likely the third brake light on the decklid... small line of led brake lights small unit.. i would clean the ignition switch with some quick start and cycle the key in and out to clean up the contact on the bottom some times soda or coffe gets in there and makes the car think that the cars key is in the ignition

Likely the balance sensor is failed - or the motor controller itself.

The balance sensor is likely failed.

Check the shock absorbers and springs for breakage.

Fisher paykel washer


Sounds like you could need a new out of balance switch or bracket, also try to make the clothes evenly spread in washing machine on rinse if they clump up on one side of the bowl they will cause out of balance :)

...most likely the balance sensor, a small contact switch behind the main control panel that is telling the machine it is out of balance, more likely the switch and/or contacts have corroded...
