Question about Big Button TV Universal Remote

Open Question

GE Universal BIG BUTTON - Model 20626- I cannot Program this device for RCA DVD Model RTD 317W -Manullay Turn On DVD - OK -Press SetUp on Controller - Red Indicator on controller stays ON -Press DVD on Controller (Model 217W not on their list) -Pressing channel up does not indicate if I am at the right code. (Red light blinks OFF and ON again for every Channel Press) -Pressing Pause On the dvd pauses DVD -Pressing play 300 times is futile. The Red Indicator Light will always Flash OFF and On Again. IF I press PLAY 300 times, it would be easy easy to miss. I searched the Internet to find a code without any luck. Any Ideas ?

Need a code for zenith/vcr combo.

Program a GE Universal Remote Using Code Search Make sure the device for which you want to program the remote is turned on, and that the GE universal remote has good working batteries in it. Batteries that are weak may keep the universal remote from being programmed. Press and hold the Setup or Code Search button. Again, the name of the button will vary between GE universal remote models. Once the indicator light is lit, you can stop pressing the button. Press the button with the name of the device for which you want to program the GE universal remote (such as TV or DVD) and release it immediately. The indicator light should flash a time or two and then simply stay lit. Now all you have to do is point the GE universal remote at the device you selected, press the Power button and release it. The catch is that if the device does not turn off, you must wait at least two seconds and try again. The GE universal remote will attempt to program the right code for the device, cycling through all of its built-in codes. This can take up to 250 attempts. When the universal remote (finally) catches the right code and is programmed, the device will power off. Once this happens, press the Enter or Save button on the GE remote to complete the programming process. and for free
