Hey bro..i wish you could help me in my problem i dropped my iomega 500gb eHDD i cannot acces into it, i tried the chkdsk /f then it works but this time the verifyng of process was to slow unlike at first...

Hard drives are easily damaged when dropped onto the floor. If the hard disk still works but is slow then backup your files as soon as possible because it will soon fail.
It is impossible to fix faulty hard drives.
There are companies that can recover data files off faulty hard drives BUT it will cost a lot of money for their services.

I have a Simpletech 250GB and have misplaced the ac dc cord. I have data on it I need but have no way to get power to it. Where can I purchase a new or used one?

You can try and search all over the web for one but time is money and I think you might be better off by going to the source and buying one from the manufacturer through tech support. http://www.simpletech.com/support/ or 1.800.HITACHI (1.800.448.2244) or visit www.hitachi.com/inquiry. Windows is not able to install drivers for Fanton Green Drive 1 TB External harddrive. Please help. OS is VISTA and file system is NTFS

Your drive is defective. I had the same problem with mine. It was still under warranty, contact there tech support department. They will walk you through a bunch of test over the phone. If you have to send it in , you have to get a ticket number from Fantom Tech Support before you send it back. Also, they want your power cord that goes with the unit to be able to bench test it. I had to mail mine defect unit back. . Fanton could not fix my Green Drive and I lost a ton of data, it was almost full 1000 Gig. After several contacts to their tech department, they did send me a reconditioned one.

Do not buy the External Green Drive it is a piece of ****. It has an inferior power cord. And the power is cut down to be green friendly when It is not in use. Not worth risking your data and files. All my other Fantom Drives have been very reliable.
Do not buy any WD External Hard Drives especially the Note & work books cubes. They are a complete waste of money and are guaranteed to fail and lose all your data. I have had six fail on me and their Tech Support & Customer Service is awful and non existent.

Dell Inspiron 2650 laptop is not recognizing hard drive

Do you have the dell diags cd that came with the computer. If you do ,boot to the cd and run a diag.Once in the menue do a quick test, check the device you want to check and wait for the result. You may want to test all devices since you want to make sure the computer is working and you might have only a failed hard drive.

My HD dont Work anymore

hey! i was having the same problem, but it all seemed to be fine after i opened the case up... what you see inside is a hard drive connected to a small circuit board used to make that hard drive interface with the computer. basically what happened with mine, and probably yours was that the hard drive slipped out of the socket on that circuit board- the drop it took was probably JUST enough to make that happen, given that there's some room inside the case for it to slide a little.

if you don't mind potentially voiding your warranty, i'd suggest you do what i did:

- keep the drive unplugged from everything
- peel off the sticker underneath to access the screws
- slide the hard drive back into the socket on the little green board where the USB sockets are
- close it back up and test it out.

this worked just fine for me, and i hope it works for you too! it also saved what might have been ****-loads of money taking it to a recovery specialist :D

good luck!

Driver for a CRUZER micro 2.0 #BE07014B

I am just a member like you are, but I like to answer tech questions. I myself don't know very much about how this site works.

If you are using Vista, Win 2000, or Windows XP, your Cruzer should work. If your computer is using Win 98, there may be some issues to make it work.

On the Cruzer site they are supposed to have drivers for all their products.

Your driver, if required, should be on the page listed in the link below:

http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp

If you cannot find what you want on the link above, try the link below. You can contact them directly.
