Try it with another PC to make sure it is not the PC video or PC problem first, check the video cable also. Please post back what you find.

Why does my monitor come on and then after a few minutes shut down with a message of no video input?

Check that the cable from the monitor to the video card is in good shape first of all, the second thing you need to check is that its plugged into you computer properly , and last of all you need to make sure you video card hasnt failed. if that is the case you will need to replace your graphics card

My asus vw193D-B shuts down

Check cable. It's not communicating with PC video card. It should pick up the input port, but make sure on monitor. You can try re-seating video card. Also test with VGA if you are using HD like HDMI.

How do I switch from DVI to VGA before monitor goes to to sleep?

The "Select" button on the front is supposed to perform this function, usually a monitor will default to whatever mode it was in when it shut down. Alternate presses of the button will switch between the two. I have seen monitors fail to recognize seemingly valid inputs for various reasons, sometimes the computer settings are incorrect and sometimes failure of the monitor video input. I have also seen buttons fail or get stuck on, they also occasionally get contaminated with screen cleaning fluid. If you need more help reply with more specific information about the problem.

Hp w1907 monitor not detecting vgi input from original HP x3122 computer

It sounds like your computer has been having some trouble for some time. My hunch is that there is nothing wrong with the monitor at all.

Usually, when you see this warning on the screen that there is no signal, the monitor is trying to tell you that it cannot talk to the computer. This means the computer either a.) will not boot or b.) your video card in the computer has stopped working.

Does your computer make all the usual noises when you start it up? Can you hear the hard drive clicking and the fans come on?

Have you reseated the video connection on the back of the tower?

My guess is that something was going out before and it is now gone. The first place I would look to diagnose this problem is the hard drive.

Hard drives fade to fail sometimes, and when they are fading, the entire computer becomes painfully slow.

Hope this helps
good luck

ASUS MM17T lcd monitor switches off within 3 seconds after openin

If you have another monitor to plug in to your computer I would try that to verify your video card is good on your computer, most of the time your monitor will flicker off when there is no video signal detected. If your video card is good on your computer, then it could be an input cable, try another input source type, like if it is set up for HDMI and you have a spare SVGA cable hook that up to see if it work. The auto input control board in your monitor might also be going out too. Sounds like it might be time for a new monitor, they are repairable but a lot of work.

While trying to change channels, my t.v. displayed ''no signal'' and then shut itself off. Now, when I turn it on, it says no signal and turns itself off after a few seconds.

Turn the television on and as soon as the screen turns on repeatily press the input button or change the input to whatever input you are using from a source device. As long as you change it to anything other than RGB.

Your television is essentially a big computer monitor with multiple inputs and a tuner. When using your computer and shutting it down the monitor will go in a power save mode. You don't need to shut off your monitor due to this power saving mode. When you power up your computer your monitor automatically turn on.

With the VIZIO and the RGB (computer) input the television will act just like a computer monitor. When you have a computer connected it will power down automatically when you shut off your computer. When you turn your computer on the VIZIO will automatically come out of standby mode. This is through RGB only.

This is normal operation for the VIZIO but can see confusing when nothing is connected to the RGB input. If you change your television input to RGB it will sense no signal on the input and will go into standby mode after about 5 - 10 seconds. If you were to send a signal to the television through RGB it would automatically kick on.
