Question about Samsung Washing Machines
I am sorry to hear regarding the same. However, there could be many reasons for the same. As you mentioned it is an electrical smell - the smell may be from the belt or perhaps the motor windings. It could be short circuit in any of the components including the control board.More likely it seems that a component burnt up.
Unfortunately, you need to open the washer and try to locate the components visually to see what might have blown.There is no specific reason for the same.
