1. 1st you must contact your Internet Service provider to see if your

connection is good.
2. getting in to the router and see the status of the router should be the

next step.
Since you don't have a pc this will be difficult because the pc has the

browser screen to see what is happening in the router. The interface

for the user is seen via the pc screen using the 19.168.0.1 IP address.
3. The gaming instruction or gaming setup instructions for your router

are in the "advance tab" the instruct set can be also abtained by going

to the manufacturers site.
4. To add devices to the Surfboard router you will have to either

connect with an Ethernet cord or you will have to set the router up

wirelessly for you device.
5. if you had a electrical surge at your apartment you may have

damaged the router to the electrical spike if no surge protection was

used.
6. to know if your router is ok the "power light" should be green
If you have flashing yellow lights on the "link" then you have lost

connectivity with your Internet Service Provider and you need to have a

router reset. ^The provider should be able to walk you through the reset

process.

Cannot set up Motorola Surfboard SB5120 modem

This usually means something is not correct with your incoming signal. If your cable wire into the modem is being run off an amplifier in the wall this could be effecting your service. If the signal is too strong the modem won't be able to communicate for internet.

You could check the incoming wire to see if it is running off an amplifier. If it is you would need to run a new line that is not on the amplifier. I would recommend comcast coming out to check the signal frequency and make the necessary adjustments.
