Question about Coleman Mach 15 Air Conditioner

1 Answer

We have a toy hauler travel trailer, about 5 years old. The air conditioner was working fine then all of a sudden the cold air stopped. Air was coming out but it wasn't cold, it was room temp. Any ideas?

I have a 2007 Hobi toy hauler. Can I recharge that unit or does the whole unit have to be replaced?

Start first with cleaning the outside of the unit to clear it from any debris blocking the air moving through the coil. I do beleive those units can be recharged but I would have a service tech at a local camper/rv sales place check it out.

I have a 2010 30' cougar travel trailer, we have never used the air conditioner which is a coleman mach model, when I put it on auto and cool it blows cool air but never gets cold am I suposed to

Check the temperature of the air coming out the vent If it's more than 10 degrees below the air going in it's ok. If it's the same temperature, the condensing system may be not working. The compressor may just be a quiet one!

Travel trailer a/c

Hi, W/D here.
Your unit does sound like it is low on refrigerant, but there may be another issue at play here also. Do you fave the ability to bring fresh air into the camper via the A/C? If so, were you bringing fresh air in when it froze up? Here's why I ask; Purely recirculated air has much more humidity in it than air that is coming in from the outside, even in high humidity areas. If your camper was closed up tight and recirculating air, your unit could very well freeze up. That explains why just running the fan fixed it. Contributing factors would be dirt on the coils, and low refrigerant, but ask yourself "Did we have this problem during the day when we were in and out (allowing fresh air in)?" If the A/C worked well when it was hotter, my opinion is that the issue is more of a moisture problem than a refrigerant problem. If you can allow some fresh air in the trailer by way of the A/C, I'd try that first, especially at night

Air conditioning won't work. Maybe no ground

Open your elctrical panel on your fifth wheel and make sure the wire terminals are tight comming in from the electrical power cord.

There could also be a issue with your power converter. Try turning your circuit breakers off and back on.

Weather king central air conditioner

You have done a good job under the circumstances. It could be a bad start/run capacitor as well. It carries a lot of amperage so I suggest hiring a technician to check the capacitor and the motor.
