First things first, Everything Serra_baby asked is something that you should post when having this type of problem. I would also suggest putting what type of internet connection you are using (cable vs. DSL vs. Fiber). One solution you can try would be power cycling your equipment. This can be down by unplugging the power from your router and the modem from your provider then powering off your computer. You would then plug in the modem from your provider, once that is up you would plug the power back into your router, and finally once that is up you would turn your computer back on.

Computers have limited connection to linksys wrt54g although signal is full strength

Limited connectivity
If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wireless connection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptop probably did not get an IP address from the wireless router.
To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and then click Repair.
This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless card on the laptop.
Also try resetting the wireless router by turning off the power to the wireless router for a few minutes and the boot up your computers.

Hi,

For you to resolve this problem, you'll need to reset the router. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, and when you are prompted for the user name and password just input "admin" in both fields.

Try connecting your computer to the router after this process.

Good Luck.

I had a linksys "g" router hooked up to a wireless desktop and a PS3. i got about a 65-75% signal strength on both.my online gaming was fine, but i would start the matches late and sometimes have a...

The lag could be because of a latency between your router and the gaming servers you are connecting to. Not a whole lot you can do about that.
FYI, signal strength of 65-75% isn't bad at all and shouldn't have a significant impact on your wireless performance. Keep in mind that your internet connection is usually the bottleneck for performance. If your wireless runs at 54Mbps with 100% signal strength, when you lose signal, it reduces the performance of your wireless. For example, if you were to get to 40% signal strength, your performance could be reduced to only 11Mbps. While that is a drastic drop for your local LAN performance, 11Mbps is still faster than the vast majority of internet providers currently have, so your in-game performance shouldn't change, based on less signal strength or less bandwidth.
As for your "N" router, if you have a 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz cordless phone in the location where you installed the router, there is a chance that it is conflicting with that frequency. Since you don't have that problem on your "G" router, I can only deduce that if this is the problem, you have a 5Ghz phone, since "G" operates only at 2.4Ghz. If you still have the "N" router, disconnect the phone, re-install the "N" router and see if that fixes your problem. If it does, then you may want to either stick to the "G" router anyway or upgrade your phone to the newer "wireless friendly" 6Ghz phones.

Looks like conected but i cant get internet

Router might not be set up with the modem. Your router broadcast wireless signal when it is powered on, so even if it is not connected to a modem(where you get your internet from)you will have a local connection. That's normal. You need to set up the router. Call linksys technical support, if they cannot help try http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

How do i connect and get signal?

This is a common problem with Linksys wireless routers and primarily the WRT54G and WRT54GS. For some odd reason they all of a sudden go stupid and forgetful.

The easiest method to revive these routers is to go to the Linksys web site and get the automatic configuration download for your specific model of wireless router.

Hope this helps you

Would a neighbors linksys router interfere with my belkin connection?

do check the signal strength of the wireless connection..you can improve signal by removing any big objects between the compu and the router/access point and/or re positioning the router.also intervening walls will affect signal..the fact that you are getting a linksys signal impilies that your home network signal is weak..hope it helps!
