Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional for PC
I just posted an answer to this a few minutes ago lol.
I have fixed many computers with this issue, cause some nobody working on computers from his parent's basement thinks that the illegal xp pro is a great thing and helpful for a person.
Acquire a legal copy of XP Pro on-line from many reputable sources. $50 - $120 or less if you are lucky, I wouldn't buy used for the fact you can't guarantee that someone didn't already use the key on the sticker.
In most cases it doesn't even have to be XP PRO.
Back up important files and install XP using your new LEGIT copy of XP.
Use the drivers disc that may have come with your computer and you should be good to go.
In a lot of cases the drivers have to be found from the manufacturers websites.
In some of the cases the computer was still able to run the system recovery option and set it back to the LEGAL copy of windows that was installed from the factory.
If this was a custom computer put together then you need to aquire your own legal copy as stated before.
