Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I droped my E71 in the water. After being cleaned by professionals, everything works fine, except the microphone. Can the microphone be succesfully replaced? Which other solution would be available?

Hi,

The microphone as to be replaced with a new one because if i give you a solution to it, it will end up having faults again, which i know you would not like. So it needs to be replaced.

Bless You.

Built in microphone wont work

try re-installing the driver.

it's a bit complicated, but if you could figure out what kind of microphone you have i could get it for you.

right now try googling your computer make and model, plus "microphone driver"
it should come up with a link to download something, then install that if it looks trustworthy enough.

Other person can't hear

It could be connection. The cable might not be sending the right information to the computer.

It might also be their computer. Ask them to try restarting their program. If it doesn't work try fiddling with the wire.

If you have a built in mircophone, then I suggest contacting your coomputer's manufacturer and ask for a repair.

Built in Microphone doesn't work in AIM, Windows Live Messanger

You would be surprised at how many people don't realize that each application has it's own configuration screen.

It's not the end-users fault - like you said... the instructions could be a BIT more clear.
