Question about Frigidaire Microwave Ovens
Usually either the rectifier or the capacitor fails which causes the main fuse to blow.
The rectifier is item F1 and the capacitor is item F2 of this link:
After grounding across the capacitor terminals at least 3 times
you check the rectifier by disconnecting one lead and use a meter to read across the rectifier. It will read continuity in one direction and open in the other direction. The capacitor should make a meter indication jump each time you reverse the leads. No jump of the meter after reversing the leads or a ground from cap terminals to the case = bad cap. There is also a thermal cut out that can cause the problem.
This unit uses a switch / fuse kit item F9 of link for replacement parts. Check the fuse also.
