Question about Dishwashers
It sounds like you may have had a spring either come loose or break. You can take the kick plate off the bottom usually with a 1/4 socket or nutdriver and maybe a phillips. Take the screw out of each side and you will see on the far left and right a spring that attaches to the door hinge. One of them will be broken or off. Simply look at the one that is still in place and attach the other back the same way. If broken you can usually buy springs for dishwashers for around $8.00. Good luck and I really hope this helps.
