LRA how to convert in tonage so 10 LRA How many ton and 145 LRA Copland scroll compressor tonage value pleas give me answer

LRA on the data tag stands for "locked rotor amps" and has nothing to do with tonnage. In the model # there should be a number to use. And divide that # by 12 (12,000 btu/ton). So if I had a PFG24H200 it would be the "24"and a 2 ton unit

What is the tonage looking for the tonage

It will usually be in the model number on the unit. You will have to supply the model number and possibly the serial number for us to see. Thanks!

No problem.....only want info. on the unit....I can buy one and need the tons, etc.

should be able to read the model number right off of the compressor......(the big black dome shaped thing). That model number tells the btu/hp which translates to tonage. It also lists the electrical data such as voltage.

you have a 3.5 ton unit. this is what the 42 in the model number stands for...42,000 btu.

One ton of "refrigeration" is equal to 12,000 btu

What is the tonage on a 10aja3601

Hi, the tonnage of your unit is a 3 Ton unit. There are 12,000 btu's per ton of cooling, so your model number has a a36, so 3 x 12 = 36 which is 36 = 3 tons of cooling.

Hi i need to know the ton of the unit

TYou can find that information on the steel plate on the back of the unit, if it's a heat pump you will find it on the sied where tubing comes out of heat pump. It will have serial Number and model number and you can take that information and go to Carrier and find thw tonage list.

Age and tonage of carrier 38CKC036350 S/N 2005E40526

its a 3 ton unit manufactured in 2005
the 36 in the model number indicates tonnage 12,000 btu's to a ton times 3 equals 36
the 2005 in the serial indicates year made not sure what month but if i had to guess i'd say May of '05
Thanks Peyton
