    Daniel S,
Thanks, I do not know if the fan motor is bad, as it turns freely when tested, I do not want to buy the board if it is not necessary, should I buy the fan motor first and try it?

Hi,

The latest Motherboard part number is Part 6871JB1259F and regarding fan, are there (2) letters after your model number ?

It would be the white (3) Wire Fan

Substitution: 4681JB1027A

Thanks and regards,

Hi

The FF error code indicates that the freezer fan motor is defective. You could also get this code if ice is preventing the fan from turning. You can order this part from the below link--
LG refrigerator board

Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

Fan moving freely doesn't indicate fan motor/board is good. When the refrigerater is plugged in, the fan should rotate. If you observe it isn't rotating then the fan motor needs to be checked for any disconnections. If the wiring seems to be fine then use a multimeter to check the wiring for continuity. Now inspect the board for any burnt component, to be sure use the multimeter to check for any disconnections. Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

Hi I have a problem with my LG Refrigerator model GC-L247SLUV it's not working it keeps on displaying code

Unplug the LG fridge and wait 20 minutes - Plug back into power - Many times the code will clear or reset. If not keep reading below... -The majority of the time it is the freezer fan causing the Er FF error code. The FF error code indicates that the freezer fan motor is defective.

My LG display is reading ER FF what does this mean and what can I do to fix it?

Error Code Er FF
This code is not to be confused with the O FF or demo mode error message. The "Er FF" error code indicates a problem with the unit's freezer fan. The freezer fan controls the temperature in the freezer. The source of this error is most likely ice buildup. As with the Er IF error, allowing the unit to thaw should resolve the issue. Contact customer service if the error code continues to be displayed after having thawed the unit.

Hope helps.

The door panel says "Er FF" and now it is not cooling

Er FF - Freezer Fan Error - This can be caused by frost accumulation on or around the freezer fan. Unplug the unit for 3-4 hours to allow this to melt off. If error code persists, call Customer Service.

Freezer dos not Freeze and Regular side is not cold

It is possible that the freezer side is iced up due to a fanmotor not working. Check. If the fanmotor is working, then there may be a fault with the defrost system which is controlled by a main pc board and may need to be replaced.

FF error code

The ER-FF problem that you have is: ERROR -FAN FREEZER so it means that you have a problem with maybe the fan motor or if it's a bottom mount freezer maybe ice built up on the fan motor so it's blockin the fan motor.
Hope i helped u a little bit ! :)
