Sounds like your audio fuse has blown or one of the connection to the main power supply has been severed and will require a technician to change out the part however the part itself is inexpensive and the procedure is pretty easy so labor and parts cost should be at a minimum

hope this helps

Hi

the only component that can cause a good picture and no

sound are Transistors

these transistor are controlled from the Micro .

Look for the transistor that mutes the Audio Input

of the Audio Amplifier and :

extract or disconnect temporarily just for troubleshooting

purposes only.

Another option is to check if audio is set to Main not SAP

Another option is to check if there is audio on the

headphone socket.( if available )

I will post further if you need further assistance

Hello,

firstly, connect the TV to a DVD player and observe if there will be any sound. If there is still no sound, then you can look forward to the replacement.

The replacement to a TV sound problem would be a sound chip or sound IC. This should be the reason the TV is not bringing out sound .

Therefore you can replace the sound IC/chip of the TV.

Take care.

No audio on sanyo ds31520 after replacing vertical IC.

Replacing vertical output IC won't poise this type of problem. Check the voltages at the audio output section.

No Picture

It sounds like the veritcal ic has failed, and./or a cap in the verical circuit, When replacing the vertical ic, always check for a fuse resistor near the ic, it could be blowen aswell.

I have a Sanyo 32 inch tv, model # DS31650, that has no sound

there is an SIF coil (sound-intermediate-frequency) that goes bad on these units. it will be near the video jungle ic and marked sif on the board. since your sound is poor anyway you could try to adjust, in very small incremens at a time to see if audio picks up. sometimes dirty connections in the coil will cause poor conductivity, by turning this will move contact to new position mch

No picture, but power light and sound OK

The problem you have there was a loss of vertical deflection followed by a complete failure of Q301, the vertical Ic LA7833S.
It may have been in part due to the feed caps located in that circuit and there will likely be NO outward signs of the failure.
The Ic needs to be replaced and the electrolytics in that circuit need to be measured with and ESR meter and replaced if bad.
If it's starting to sound a bit beyond your ability I strongly suggest having a qualified shop do this because you can overheat the vert Ic easily just soldering it in...
If you have a shop do it you might ask what they charge to replace the vertical Ic and ESR the caps in that circuit. Explain to them what you have here with regards to how it went out, dropping to a horizontal line before going completely dead... The more detail you can give the easier it will be for the tech to troubleshoot the problem.
Good Luck!

I can feel the mechanical vibration on the component. The Picture and sound are very good. The chassis is G6Y-13040. Any ideas? This TV has a loud mechanical "chatter" (or clicking)that appears to be coming from RL001 on the motherboard as soon as ther TV is turned on replace relay as it is easily available or make it direct. .

DS25390 Verticle foldover

If you have a picture but the top is folded over, your vertical IC is probably good and you need to replace the pump-up capacitor next to the IC. When the pump-up cap (typically a 47 or 100uF 35V cap) is open then the picture will have white lines and foldover at the top. The typical vertical output IC is the LA7838, but I am not familiar with exactly which output IC your set uses.
