water collects on the bottom of the freezer..then freezes. next time during defrost, water no where to go so leaks on floor. the drain in back is clogged. manual says to use baster and solution of baking soda and hot (not boiling) water, and use baster to inject water into drain to unclog. QUESTION...does it drain into a pan AND does this pan need to be removed and emptied/cleaned...if so how is this done? thank you :)

I am getting water leaking from under my fridge freezer it stops when I turn the mains supply off for the water filter.

I would check the water lines that supply the water to the fridge, and any visible lines on the fridge itself. I used to have a problem where the plastic lines would get brittle and snap at the ends - I also use a product called Floodstop that has sensors that automatically shut off the water to the fridge if any of the sensors detect water leakage - plus it tests the valve once a month to make sure it actually works when you need it too -

Viking fridge Model DDRB364RSS dripping water unto bottom cooler drawer and later under fridge - once a day or so. Door Gasket is a bit torn.

problem water in a fridge is moisture from the atmosphere--normally from opening the door but in your case from the damaged door seal
any tear regardless, compromises the compartment so have the seal replaced then see if you have a problem

My Maytag refrigerator is leaking water from under it. Model MFI2569VEM

Just how old your fridge is I don' t know. But is your defrost timer working on your freezer. It should defrost at least once a day. You may want to check out the drain on the bottom of the fridge also. It may be partly clogged up. Then newer models have the coils go over the pan to help evaperate the water.

Water accumulates under vegetable bin (bottom of refrigerator) every couple of days

If this is an older style top mount refrigerator than most likely the drain is clogged causing the water to leak into the fridge during the defrost process. What's the model number?

My matag diswasher fills with water without being used. The process is gradual and takes several days.

two things, your water inlet valve could be going bad. your drain hose from dishwasher is lower than the sink, so whenever the sink is being used, water will slowly back up into dishwasher. if this is the case, just loop the drain hose under the sink, this should solve your problem

Water not going to ice maker

That happened to me once and while it was with an older fridge, it's possible it could be the same problem. In my case, the water inside the supply line actually froze. Tried using hot towels and such on the water supply line but in the end, I had to empty out the Fridge and defrost it for a day. Water for the ice maker worked again after that... and I had a clean fridge!
Hope this helps...

WE have an older fridge. Water is now collecting

Good day,
On some of the older models when the refrigerator went thru it's automatic defrost cycle, the condensate water ran down the back wall, under the crispers and out that drain plug you described.
You can verify if that is your model by looking at the back wall of the machine. If there is no drain tube running down the back, then that is the model you have.
If that is the case, just remove the plug. The water should run directly into the drain pan.
Clean the plug and opening and that's it.

Kitchen aid refrigerator superba

hi there,

the drain pan is under the fridge behind the kickplate. the kickplate is the vent-line panel located under the door. it's held on by 2 screws. unscrew the screw and remove the kickplate. the drain pan will slide out. careful, as it's probably pretty full.
