Bring the router close to your computer or laptop. if there is any thick wall in between router and computer it may cause problem. if the problem prevails even after doing this , call linksys support and ask for firmware update.

My Internet keeps dropping and coming back on. The cable light on the modem goes off and then starts blinking and comes back on - then a little while later goes off again. It has been doing this constantly...

Who is your provider? Vonage? I think id be on the phone to them to get this straightened out.

Not Vonage, call who ever is your cable service provider. And if you cant get them on the phone or via WWW, id be getting to the closest office and speak loudly until I got some satisfaction.

Can no longer pick up router signal

Does the wireless light still lit on the router? You can try changing the channel on the router (1 6 or 11) ans moving the antenna. If those things did not work upgrade the firmware of the router and reset to factory default. Do not forget to save the configuration file before you reset to factory default.

My signal is low

Hi,

Signals depend on many factors...Few of them are :-

1. Type of router - Internal or External - You need to make sure you must have the best router for your notebook.

2. Configurations - Some router might work like magic with HP but the same can't with Dell. The difference is the configuration compatibility.

3.Try to be within few metres away from router. Position might affect the performance of the signals.

Any further help, let me know.

Thanks.

Wireless Router Randomly Disconnects

I am having this problem as well, however my connection goes from 56M down to 1M and I cant connect to anything. I previously thought it was my router but none of my other systems experience it. If you know someone with an external Wireless card I'd suggest trying that before purchasing one. I dont believe anyone can fix an internal wireless card that goes bad. Try downloading the latest drivers for your PC/LAPTOP's wireless device and reload it.
