Hi, common problem with n70 white screen, i suggest you take it to a service centre, because it could be 1 of 2 problems, either the lcd is faulty, or, on the main board, there are 2 crystals that control the lcd, they need to be changed, but will be cheaper maybe just to buy a new phone,

as for the 1100, if it doesnt turn on and constantly vibrates, i have a feeling that the phone has liquid damage, and is shorting out.

The LCD display connector is either loose or the LCD is faulty, the speaker contacts are loose or the speaker is faulty.. Other than that, you have to have it checked by a qualified technician. Follow the procedures below to disassemble the phone and check the LCD, connectors and speaker.
  1. Wear a pair of electro-static discharge (ESD) protective gloves.
  2. Unlock and remove the battery cover.
  3. Unlock the clips of the front cover beginning at the bottom by prying the latches with your fingernail or a prying tool one at a time.
  4. Carefully remove the front cover.
  5. Protect the display with a plastic film.
  6. Remove the 6 screws using a T6 screwdriver.
  7. Swing the user interface (UI) frame assembly upwards from the bottom. Bear in mind that the flex connector is still connected.
  8. Disconnect the flex connector carefully by prying it.
  9. Clean the connectors using a soft-bristle toothbrush with a lacquer thinner.
  10. Remove the engine board and place it in a cushioned non-conducting tray.
  11. Clean the speaker terminals and contact pads on the engine board using a cotton bud with lacquer thinner or alcohol.
  12. Lift up the speaker terminals to ensure it makes contact with the contact pads on the engine board.
  13. Check the resistance of the speaker using a multimeter. The resistance reading should be 20-30 ohms, otherwise replace speaker.
  14. Put back the engine board.
  15. Reconnect the flex connector firmly and reassemble the UI frame assembly.
  16. Remove the protective plastic film and reinstall the front cover.
  17. Insert the battery and turn on the phone.
  18. There should be a display and tone when the hands appear on screen. Otherwise, have your phone checked by a qualified technician.
Check this out for the complete disassembly:

White Display on Nokia N 70

With lose of full function display. First remove the battery and leave it out for approx 2-3 minutes to attempt to reset the connection.

Also if possible use either your AC connector or another battery to check if your battery itself isn't the cause of the malfunction.

If that doesn't correct it call your service provider for them to attempt to reset the display functions on your menu setup from their remote location.

Last but not least if not from factory defect or impact shock from having been dropped or condensation. Wear on parts may have come a time to repair or replace the phone.

Nokia N70

hi there, to solve your problem. must go to any nearest service center. cuz the problen for that is the hardware, the display IC. and it is mostly the problem for N70 cuz' the display IC is near to the internal battery. when the battery licks it go directly the IC. and that can damage the IC.

ok
peace!

N70 blanking(all display white )

It looks that your N70 has a booting problem. Your phone wasn't booting. Usually the boot IC goes bad and needs t be replaced. You have complicated your problem by changing the glass IC's. This surely wasn't your problem. I'm not sure if you have replaced them correctly though. If you have a digital multimeter than check your phone across the battery terminals. Keep the meter on 'Continuity' which also shows a 'Diode' symbol and check ur phone .Between +ve to grnd, one side, the meter shd show around 370 ohms and reversing the polarity of the meter across the same terminals of the phone the meter shd show a reading similar to a capacitor discharge action towards infinity. Now if these readings do not show, then the phone has a 'shorting' somewhere. I suggest u take your phone to a technician he may be in a position to kick start it back to life.....................
