If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TR2iWN6b-LY
You haven't vertical deflection.
The ff caused the problem.
1. Dry joints on the vetical section.
2. Blew Vertical ouput IC
3. Open yoke vetical winding.
4. No vertical output from jungle IC.
5. Open supply for vetical ic due to open fusible resistor.
I've suspect that you have #1 and #2 fault. This is not Diy so I've advice you to send to repair shop or look for a qualified tech to isolate the problem.
there is a section in the tv working just to keep the screen fitting top to down (vertical section) some capacitors are dry now in that area. this one has not to be a expensive job in the workshop. Try estimates
control boards on LCDs and PLASMA tvs are causing no picture , missing area , and other wierd symptoms , it will need to be tested to determine the true problem
Cut feed lead to pin 16 (in the scart not the equipmend!) Does not matter which end. It just stops the TV from switching to RGB- The DVD is sending non standard RGB - PanamanNE
The LCD Panel is defective. You will need to replace the LCD Panel. It will probably be cheaper to replace the monitor since the LCD Panel may exceed the monitor cost.
Single lines of single color (red, green, blue) are LCD panel failures.
1 or 2 lines of single color are LCD Panel failures.
Multple color lines could be anything so in this case you start by checking the power circuit.
yes I needed to know if fixable or not
