Question about Car Audio & Video

2007 avalanche rear speakers have no sound output. I don't believe they both could blow at the same time.... the rear radio is not on so it isn't that muting it. Is there some issue where they may mute and not unmute?

I too have no sound from rear speakers...I bought speakers thinking they were simply not there. Went to install them and found that there all of a sudden was sound there. Put the rear door panel back on and it still worked until the next day. No sound from either side on rear again. I read somewhere that a seatbelt could be damaging a wiring harness causing it so I took off the panels covering the seat belts and found no way that the harness could be damaged from the belt. Weird how they worked momentarily when i had the pass rear door panel off though.

2008 avalanche intermittent sound from speakers.

if its the doors then the seal on the speakers is letting water in and shorting out the speaker and causing the other speakers to do the same as the amp is being overloaded over time you will need a new radio as it will blow the amp in it. safety device will not keep saving the amp.

Did they ALL stop at the same time?

Are you running an AMP?

It sounds like your Radio Settings, Radio Internal Failure or a Wiring Fault on the REAR of the Radio..

You have a lose wire on the speaker or a bad connection on the speaker. Trace the speaker wires back and locate the short.

With the 07, you may have vibration damage to one of the main boards interlayer traces.
There are issues on those bikes that will need to be checked and the radio will need to be repaired

I'm installing an aftermarket radio in my 2003 avalanche with a GMOS-04 interface. It has two sets of RCA lines, however my radio only has one set of RCA cables. I'm only getting sound from the rear...

If the stereo you are using only has one set of outputs for the rear you will have to get an auxiliary AV adapter for the front speakers that has an AV jack on it so you can use the AV jacks for the front as well. This is not hard and not expensive but it is necessary. The adapter you buy will depend on the radio you are using as it will plug right up to your radio. So I am posting a link to a place I use and you can choose the adapter you need based on your radio. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ZimO2BBIZ8j/g_50900/Auxiliary-Input-Adapters.html
