How do you know when the vivatar 8025 is or is not in macr mode and what is it?

There's a slide switch on the end of the camera, near the USB socket. Slide it away from the flower (macro) position to the mountain (far) position.

The Vivitar 8025 has the following flash settings: Auto mode , Fill-in mode , Flash OFF mode. Since the cam doesn't have a manual flash setting, check to see if it's set to OFF mode. Or even Fill-in mode (sometimes it barely flashes). Auto mode will only work if needed......

Charge lithium battery

A. Charge with USB cable
Insert the lithium battery into your camera correctly, and connect your camera to computer with USB cable. The red LED of camera will be light on indicating that your camera is in charging status, the LED will be off when charge full.

B. Charge with supplied charger
Your camera is supplied a compatible charger for you, you are only required to put the battery into charger and charge the lithium battery directly from electrical outlet

You can either use the supplied USB cord to charge the camera through your computer or use the included external charger.

Set the Camera to in normal shooting mode. The flash will not operate if the Camera is set to Macro mode.The setting is found on the left hand side of the camera, push the Micro/Normal switch to the down and try.

Select the video in Playback mode, then press the shutter release button to start the playback. Touch the "C" icon area to stop the playback.

Sorry, the ViviCam 8025 does not record sound in video mode. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software on a computer, but you cannot record one on the camera.

I've read on yahoo answers that there is no mic in the 8025. So no sound for video. I know, it sucks.
