The top is connected with 7 star shaped screws look in the back of the machine you will see the exact shape. in the back there are 3 screws then there are 2 more screws on every side under the dark grey lable on is located on the very bottom (lift the lable you will find it) to find the other 2 slide your finger on the grey lable you will feel a small round hole on the right side it is about a cm under the **** where the papers get punched and on the left side it is about 3 - 4 inches under that ****. Good luck

I have a stihl fs45c trimmer. The drive shaft fell out in 2 pieces. What holds the drive shaft in the trimmer?

near all flex shaft trimmers ive ever seen have a hex or star pattern on both ends , they slip freely inside a sleeve on clutch and cutter head , if they were fastend in anyway they would bind up and turn only a few turns and stop , nope your problem is you broke your drive shaft (hence the two pieces) your gonna need to replace that (proper length is critical ) then your gonna have to find out what made it break in the first place , Most likely reason lack of preseason greasing and it rusted up

My lid switch fell out of my Whirlpool Top Loader Washer..can I just bind the two wires leading into it to bypass

you can do that, just insulate them very well and then don't stick your hand into the machine when its spinning cause i guarantee it will tear your arm off at worst if not dislocate it,keep your mind on your work and don't let little kids near it

Can't balance top/bottom thread tension-model 158.Bottom thread is a straight line. Have increased top tension to the stop. No effect.Have reduced bobbin tension until bobbin and case fall freely when held...

I disassembled the top thread tension controller consisting of 12-13 pieces, including 2 springs. Since they all fell out on the table I spent about 2 hours learning the proper stacking order on the central shaft.
With a combination of reasoning based on each unique piece shape and trial and error I put it back together, adjusted top and bottom tensions according to the instruction booklet for the machine, tested some stitching, made final adjustments and all worked well.
I don't know what was changed in the process but it worked.

Clothes get caught between the drum and the front of the inside nonmovable part of the dryer and we are getting snags of the clothing inside and ruining the clothes

there is suppose to be a felt type piece that goes on the drum to full that gap it may have fell off . its a struggle to put on unless the drum is accessible. you can pop the top of the machine off to get better access.

When checking out the lid switch on my roper washer as jsrock suggested in another post, i heard a screw drop from the inside of that area which caused the lid switch to become unmounted completely. also,...

Top lid pull up. Look in seam between top and front cover. On each side you will see where top clips to front cover. Put a screwdriver in there and lightly pry up till clip releases. Front cover will now pull up and be removed, so you could get what fell in.

How do I open up the binding machine to see what's going on?

often the stickers will be concealing screws under them
move a screw driver over the stickers and see if it pushes in anywhere and if so make a hole there :-)

Are we able to get the Binding machine blades sharpened. We have an Ibico, Ibimatic-No 315468. Have had for about 5 years. Thanks

This product is now manufactured by GBC (General Binding Corp, part of Acco) and was replaced by the CombBind C150 - just FYI. The lower-end machines such as this seem to run in the range of $200 USD.

I have never heard of sharpening these "blades", as they are actually punches, and there are likely some 20 small, individual "blades" that are part of the system. You might check with a local dealer or office supply partner, to see if they know of anyone who could or would perform the service and what they might charge for it. I believe that if you could find someone to do it, it would cost more than it would to simply replace the machine. There does not appear to be a way to replace the punch mechanism (die / strip usually) in these models.

An example of a machine with interchangeable dies is located at: http://www.factory-express.com/Binding_Machines/WireBindingMachines/GBC-TL2900/GBC-wirebind-TL2900.html.
Obviously, this is a much higher-level (expensive) machine than the one you have here. But this is an example of the interchange concept, and associated costs.

So, this is a rather long way of saying, and trying to explain why I recommend that, you check with a local dealer perhaps, but plan to replace the machine. If it lasted you this long, the same level of machine should last just as well, and $40 US a year isn't too bad!

If you need further assistance, please post back. Otherwise, thank you for using and rating FixYa!
