Bottom dishwasher of fisher and paykel wont drain

Check the filter sump is clear and there are no blockages in the rotor cavity. If you hear the rotor noise when it is in drain cycle then blockage is inside the rotor or filter sump cavity. Assuming the top drawer is working ok, the drain hose at kitchen end might be ok. The drain hose within the drawer could also be an issue. Try to run the dishwasher with a Finish dishwasher cleaning kit (from super market) after following the instructions on the kit. First empty dishwasher with a small cup.
If the rotor is silent during drain cycle then you have a bigger problem - faulty rotor circuit.

Our sink and garbage disposal was clogged up. We got the sink unclogged, but the dishwasher had dirty water in the bottom and won't drain.

Your dishwasher drains into the garbage disposal. It you tried to use a plunger to clear your clogged sink or run the disposal with to much junk in it you may have force debris into the dishwasher drain hose. With both the dishwasher and garbage disposal disconnect from power disconnect the dishwasher drain hose from the garbage disposal. This is usually about a one inch black hose. Clear out any debris in the hose and inlet nipple on the garbage disposal. If debris is compacted far down the hose it will need to be disconnected from the dishwasher end and remove to clear the blockage.

Good luck!

The dishwasher has been working perfectly until recently it's not draining and water is remaining in the basin of the unit.

need to be sure the filter in the base of the dishwasher is clear of anything that would keep it from draining such as a screen filter. also need to check the hose that drains to the sink is clear. from there it is most likely a pump or timer issue.

I have standing water in my dishwasher. How do I unclog the drain?

It will be smelly water and if you have access to a shop vac that will help you remove the standing water if not use a bowl or turkey blaster listed below.
Use a small bowl to remove standing water from washer to access screen to remove and check for blockage. Once you have removed all the water that you can with a bowl or cup. You can use a turkey blaster to sucton remaining water from dishwasher.
Then you remove screen and clean out drain and also check drain line for blockage from dishwasher to under sink.

Clean out drain to unclog in bottom of dishwasher and you may have to remove drain line to clean it.

Maytag dishwasher leaving detergent on clean, dried dishes.

Try using less detergent if you are using liquid or powder.. but prior to doing that... make sure the drain filter screen is free of any food byproducts and start a cycle on the hottest setting ( without loading any dishes)... wait a few minutes for the water to start and pause the system... then add in a cup of white vinegar to clean out any mineral deposits that may have built up inside the system.. let it finish and look for any residue inside the dishwasher.. You may also check the spray arm for blockage... make sure all the ports ( holes ) are free and unclogged...Chances are that cycling it clean and using less detergent will solve your problem.. Good Luck...

Lg - LDS5811ST Dishwasher OE Error Code

hi
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD

Dishwasher does not drain

My dishwasher will not drain. The water stays in the bottom of the dishwasher. When it should drain, I do not hear anything happening where I used to hear the pump working. Is my pump bad?

Dishwasher doesn't drain fully

Some model 665 DW have a check valve that is attached between the sump and drain hose that may have a blockage..... Remove the drain hose from the long plastic valve then carefully unscrew the check valve from the sump. Inspect for debris.

You have a blockage in your drain pump. Remove all filters and scoop out as much water as you can from the unit. Check in the bottom for any objects stuck there. Some models have a cover on the bottom inside the unit, which once removed, will expose the drain pump impeller. If yours does, remove the cover(usually 1 screw only) and free the drain pump impeller. NB: DO NOT REMOVE THE SCREWS WHICH HOLD THE BASE TUB IN PLACE! These are the screws on the edge of the white plastic "bowl" inside the unit. The drain pump cover will be INSIDE this bowl and will be quite small, no more than 5cm dia.... If this does not work, you will have to remove the drain pump from the bottom or front of the unit to get the blockage out. Oshie
