SOURCE: no tv signal on my olevia 232-s12

cable or Ant.. ? after the scan if there is no channels found (0 digital, 0 analog) then try with cable or Ant to see if any of them work.. if they still don't pick up any channels and the whole yellow progress line goes across.. then it sounds like the tuner on the tv is bad.. and the tuner is part of the main-board so the whole main-board will have to be exchange or repair.. contact Amergence technology they are a 3rd party repair center that service Olevia TV's and they will be able to give you an idea on the repair cost..

HOOKED UP MY 27 INCH OLEVIA TV WITH VGA CONNECTORS AND MY DISPLAY SHOWS DOUBLE IMAGE AND IMAGES WAY TOO LARGE. DO I SIMPLY GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS MONITOR AND CHANGE RESOLUTION OR DO I NEED OLEVIA DRIVERS

You don't need any drivers for this. The Olevia TV has a native resolution of 1280x768 i think for displaying signal from cable. That is enough for a tv, it's not made to be a computer monitor. You will have to deal with it or buy a Computer monitor that can be used as a TV.

Olevia 232T and S-Video

Are you sure you actually have an S-video input on that TV. The specifications I find don't show one. (http://www.olevia.com/en-us/Products/2Series/232TLCDHDTV.aspx#2
If you do, you might have to select video on your remote in order to see the input. If you have the instructions for the tv, look at those.
Otherwise, try downloading your users guide for the laptop and see where it points you

Olevia TV not receiving remote signal

Which 'universal' remote have you found that listed codes for Olevia??
And, if you have a TV shop in your area at all, they will likely have an IR (infrared) detector made to check remotes for output. The simple ones do not check for coding but will tell you if the remote is putting out any signal at all. Of the two ends, the receiver is typically more reliable than the transmitting end in your remote.
