The HP 5069-8344 is a remote control that came with some HP Media Center PCs. A quick guide to the buttons on the remote and its use can be found in the HP Digital Entertainment User's Guide, http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00237784.pdf , on pages 15-16. This quick guide indicates that the full directions for use are included in the HP Media Center Software Guide. See http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00385551.pdf for one version of this guide. Note: the software guides that I found are all for systems with Microsoft XP (Media Center). They may not apply to other versions of the MS operating system, even though Media Center was available in them (Windows 7, for example).

All cable company's have a remote that can also control your TV. Flip your cable remote over and find the part number on it. On rare occasions, it might be inside the battery department instead of the back. Type that part number into your internet browser with the words guide or manual and you should find the manual u need to program your TV into your cable remote. If all else fails, call your cable provider.

The codes are specific to the model, and Phillips makes several different models. Phillips codes are available here:

Once you find your remote control in their list, if there is no obvious list of codes, try the Quick Start Guide or the User Manual.

If the guide for your specific remote doesn't have Sharp televisions in the list, try codes 0509, 0913, 0907, 0603, 0002, 0502, 0224, 0228, 0202, 0111, 2550, and 0813.

If none of these work, please reply with your specific television and remote control models.
