Question about Car Audio & Video

1 Answer

HI there I have a Rover 600 fitted with an R860 phillips derived radio. However I do not have the code for it. I managed to borrow a removal tool and obtain a lot of serial numbers reagarding the radio but I got that from the sticker that was on the top and not the 14 digit code that is stamped onto the radio itself. Is there any way of retrieving it with the information I have or do I need to remove the radio again?

Fm works, am does not

Check the antenna connection. A poor connection will often be good enough for FM but make AM reception so bad the the radios auto-gain circuits will mute the output unlike old AMs that would just produce loud static in poor signal conditions.
